Stinkpflanzen-Artikel in Kleingartenzeitung

Hello everyone

I don't want to withhold from you that I recently wrote an article about "Exotic Stinkers in the Garden", which was published in the allotment newspaper "Eisenbahn Landwirt". My goal was to bring garden lovers closer to the plants that are still relatively little known to the general public. Since it is a magazine for allotment garden owners, I have limited myself to the species that can either be kept in the garden all year round or wintered very easily.
P.S. Of course I noticed that the captions in the newspaper are not quite correct - Well, you know what is what:)

Hello you two stink morels,

thanks for the contribution !

To everyone: If you click on the pictures and look at them in the pop-up window, you can't read everything well...

Remedy: right-click and click "Open in new tab" in the context menu.... then you can enlarge the picture and read everything well....

Happy reading, Bernhard.

Nice article. A S. giganteum flower in May-June is quite sporty. Here you are more likely to expect August, if you do not have a warm conservatory or greenhouse. Whereby it is more about the fact that at night the temperatures do not fall significantly below room temperature.

Great article, Timo! Maybe it will wash one or the other reader into the forum...

Hello everyone
First of all, thank you for your praise.
I took a look, the Typhonium giganteum photo in the article is from 18.05.2016. Last year, however, it only bloomed on 01.08. By the way, both in the bucket on the terrace, no conservatory or greenhouse.

Regards
Timo

For S. giganteum, who are known for very late sprouting, flowering in May is quite early. Everything was fine: the tubers were driven early and the nights were not too cold. The location on the terrace could also have had a positive effect.

In the past, magazines often had a section in which such mistakes were corrected. Of course, only in a follow-up issue. Is there such a thing in this journal and if so, has it been corrected?

Surely I could have reported this, but I have now left it based on it. You can see quite well from the paragraphs that every photo belongs to a section of meaning.
