Erfahrungen Freiland

Hello to all!

So far, I have followed your forum as a passive member...

I would however like to know whether you take your Stinkern a field stay or... cultivated plants only in the room, winter garden.

Special experience whether for certain types a free-range stay more advantages or disadvantages brings (root growth, burns in full sun, stockendes growth due to low temperatures,...)?

My A. Konjac, A. Albus and Sauromatum are the only ones who must with me in the summer months in the open and properly proliferate. Last year I tried it also with the A. Consimilis and A. aphyllus and made more bad experiences when compared to room culture.

My other species are currently:

A. Paeonifolius
A. Gigas
A. Krauseii
Syn A. Odoratus. dunii
A. Operculatus
A. Yuloensis
A. Asterostigmatus
A. Hewitii

I look forward to your reply

Thomas

Hi Thomas,.

If possible, I kultiviere all Amorphos out there. As you already write thrive. A. konjac & Typhonium very well outdoors. I have also other kinds out there. The advantage for me is that I stand on a garage roof/roof terrace with clothing plants have. This saves the day heat for the night.
I have now even 2 tropical species (A. lambii & A. brachyphyllus) out there are. I do something like that but only if the new paper fresco can unfold to avoid burns. When these two growth seems to me somewhat slower than in the home.
A. consimilis A. dunnii, A. bulbifer (I had last year even the seedlings out there), A. yunannensis and some others are also out there and look very nice.

The site is with me in light shade. Only A. konjac, A. paeonifolius, Typhonium venosum and A. consimilis still neat to get to this year may develop your hand in the full sun. :)

Beautiful pictures!

My Amorphos are so soon the temperatures allow it all out there and get pop Sun (west-facing balcony and build-up of heat through walls)
So far, I never had burns. As a participant has written it is advantageous if the tide can equal make in the Sun, it is then already adapted.
The low temperatures are the biggest problem for me in autumn, since the pots dry out badly and temperatures are also something low. Actually, some at night in would have to and during the day back out, this is not possible of course, who is to drag this because? : evil:
The balcony helps this a bit abzumidern as in the walls, some heat is stored by the day.
I will start in the autumn increasingly the represent more sensitive clean delivery, e.g. gigas, but time has still quite a while...:!:

Exactly, that unfold with the hand is the most important thing.

If you lambii namely on the right look closely at my A., you can see strip burns on a partial sheet.
These are caused by the underside of the leaf still not developed exactly where the fold oberkanten. (Sorry, somewhat awkward, but I hope you know what I mean.)

I put my therefore now only in the full sun, if the hand is still in the bracts.

My A. gigas is namely exactly at this stage and that is why even today out moved. :)

... and just is a storm over my home away gedonnert (supposedly 150 km/h) and Amorphos has overturned.
As the beasts are so top-heavy they are also pretty uprooted when the wind it back in the loose substrate and throws her. Terrible sight.
