Initially described as Arisaema mayebarae, the species has now been placed as a variety to Arisaema serratum, and is now called Arisaema serratum var. mayebarae. Many lovers prefer to see it as an independent species, mainly because of the very dark flower, which differs greatly from the Arisaema serratum flower. Nomenclature stop.
Arisaema mayebarae grows in Japan on the island of Kyushu. The plant inhabits forest clearings and forest edges and prefers humus-rich soil.

My Arisaema mayebarae is currently sprouting with a small tip, I got it out of the cellar at the beginning of March, but I like to show you the pictures of the first flower here.
I got the tuber in picture 1 from Japan in 2018, the plant first bloomed in 2019. On the pictures you can also see the stately height of the flower shoot, which can be 120 cm high, on the last picture the foliage can be seen.
