I've seen the animals running around for years, but I've never gotten one in front of the camera. The largest of the spiders probably had only a short 3 cm. Therefore, I suspect that it is the rare but harmless tapestry spider.

The animals are also - unlike their sisters from Sidney - not aggressive.

I had tried to find pictures of this kind at Aunt's Google - in vain, because there are simply too many species to find without further information.

From the picture you probably have quite right with tapestry spider...

Don't step on it or scare it away, be happy about it, because if that's true: https://www.wochenblatt-reporter.de/grue... entdeckt_a77377 - the species is on the Red List !

But be careful - lt: https://www.naturspaziergang.de/Spinnen/Atypus_piceus.htm - they can bite...
It is also interesting that the northern low mountains are rarely to not at all to be found. - What many contemporaries find ion ly... ;-)

Yes - already funny - when caring for a few plants you get a zoo for free. The wall lizards only showed up in April last year. But I suspect that their sleeping place is higher this year, and the temperature gradient from top to bottom is significant in my greenhouse. Maybe that's why the animals are active so early in the year. Fits, however - there are no snails coming up.
