Hello

the question is just how you want to Hibernate this monster once. Clearly, some Araceae fast certainly not but that are also huge. When I think because of the growth of my bananas... or can you dig out also the tuber and dry winter? Know someone more there?

Greetings Ralf

Hi Ralf,.

You must have your feet constantly wet; so no dry hibernation possible.
In post #6 something else here:
New auctions on e-Bay

Some years you can keep safe at home, but need much heat and plenty of light.

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Hello everyone

I wish you all a happy and hopefully successful year 2019. A great success. In particular, the growth would be interested. When I think because of my red banana (Ensete maurelli), how fast are huge... Please again show a picture.

Best regards, Ralf

Hi Ralf,.

There are new pictures beforehand... but I fear that growth will be modest to zumFrühjahr because of the radiation / length of day, especially since I use no additional exposure.
The two plants now stand in an empty Aquarium under a fluorescent lamp; When the days are longer, they are on the window sill, or in the winter garden.

Happy growing 2019!
Bernhard.

Typhonodorum lindleyanum

I've moved here once some amounts... (see above)

and a current image: index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4743

Despite the modest exposure, the front plant makes a new sheet.

Happy growing, Bernhard.

update 17.06.2019

Hello in the round....

an update at ralf's special request... :-)

now that the plants were in the conservatory, they became increasingly pale, chlorotic, although they were fertilized from time to time with all other plants.
From the picture typical for Fe-mangel, possibly combined with N-lack.

index.php?page=Attachment&attachmentID=5193

I couldn't really make a rhyme on it, because the plants had always been fertilized after they had moved to the conservatory.
I thought at first that the substrate (unit soil with rel much clay addition) is not suitable and wanted to repot with a new mixture, but then I have a strong fertilizer solution (Hakaphos special with 2 or 4 g/L - unfortunately I did not record it) and have poured it on flow several times, so that the bale was saturated with the new fertilizer solution.

The pleasing result:

index.php?page=Attachment&attachmentID=5194 index.php?page=Attachment&attachmentID=5195

I hope that the newly unwinding leaves will continue to remain so strong green and that the plants will continue to grow strongly over the summer.

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Thank you. Look very good.

I wouldn't have thought that with the nutrient shortage. Rather, they may have been too cold. All the more pleasing that they now look so good again. Are probably real strong-eaters.

Greetings Ralf
