Arisaema ringen grows in cool, shady forests in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and eastern China. It is considered largely hardy.
This Arisaema has quite amazing hel-like flowers, with lacquered black lips.

When I see these blooms, I sometimes wonder, who made them? So it's with many amazing forms in nature, but they're there and have become like that. I got my plant from England in 2011 as a 17cm tuber, under the name Arisaema ringens var. Sevenoldii.

Initially I kept them in the bucket, these are the first two shots. But the plant has increased year after year, the bucket was getting bigger and heavier, and in March 2017 I decided to plant it out, as it is supposed to be hardy. In the third photo you can see well the huge root bales with the many tubers, and then the Austrieb in 2018 and the leaves. And then again these crazy blossoms.
