Ernte 2018

This year's harvest has started the day. There, the only paper of a Konjac was mottled and yellow on the windowsill of a few days. The tuber was transplanted with about 3 g in Seramis, later transplanted in Earth, when a brood arm to dent the pot started and harvested yesterday with 34 g. The tuber has made the breaking points after 5 breeding arms of which I found curiously only 3 children, which I have however discarded.

A week ago, I have the first 3 ulcers (also on the window sill and the whole time about in Seramis) harvested. The larger tuber (32 g) has kept her weight. In the other two I can not exactly say, da I weighing documented nor had noticed me. I however assume that also have not significantly to - or removed. The window sill is rather unsuitable for ulcers with me here. Was only an experiment because of Seramis culture substrate.

Amorphophallus taurostigma 'White Veins'

Enjoyable, even though the plant like to something can grow.

index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4295 index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4296

Unfortunately the way is always quite early; I'm not sure whether it to spider mites is the, I have every now and again, or whether she's always early a moving without infestation.
I have the impression that the kind is very sensitive at even the slightest infestation. Possibly she has been once too dry during the holiday, because the leaves were dried out in part at the edge and yellowed to the leaf rib down.

How does this with you out (moving-in date, response to pest)?

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Hi Bernard,.

The first, which is is also an African always consimilis without spider mites.
This year I had an idiosyncratic partial spider mite infestation from ever a "branch" of bolikhamxayensis and fuscus. I cut both branches. The plants are still (approx. 2/3 of the nutritious), have already soft Petiolen and will be moving soon; Unlike the each second plant of species. I suspect that the moving-in date to a reduction in performance of the leaf photosynthesis is coupled, which can be caused by spider mite damage, cutting off, shorter days or just senescence of leaf. This is but just a guess...

I just harvested the next eburneus tuber with 470 g and one juliae with 144 g (with a small print, as is the approach of the petiole thing).

Love greetings
Michael

Hi Michael,.

that is one of two small of me from the April 2017 juliae possibly?
If so, the increase would be so huge! Or was that then the second growing season for the plant?
Can possibly adjust an image?

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Hi Bernard,.

Yes, that is one of the two of you; It is the larger, the other was about Kirschgroß when the last repotting in spring. She has a slight crack, but since I'm only worry, she is now again getopft in Sphagnum. You're right, it was just the second growing season.
The other photo is the eburneus.

Love greetings
Michael

Amorphophallus gomboczianus, Lake Tane, Äthiopien

Unfortunately, I had to harvest my first gomboczianus today since spider mites have the leaf yellowing.
Unfortunately the tuber in the diameter has not increased.

Very nice, you can see the light pink color of the tuber, which is typical of the way.

Happy harvesting, Bernhard.

S.venosum 'Indian Giant'

From about 10 cm big and 459 g heavy bulb are an about 15 cm large and 967 g heavy tuber with 10 primary Cormels (all together 1121 g) and an independent 5.5 cm wide and 80 g heavy daughter tuber with 8 primary Cormels (together 97 g) emerged. Total incurred more tubers than expected.

The daughter tuber had 2 sheets as the mother plant, only much smaller.

IG mit zwei Blüten.

The second flower has probably damaged the main bud.
The tuber has made only Cormels, no sheet.
The largest primary Cormels started to grow and had all 2 leaves.
Before planting, I had removed all breeding tubers approaches.

In seven out of the drainage material 2 more Cormels came to light: a 2.5 cm large, hung from another with 1 cm. The head of an IG have become a total 22.

Amorphophallus mossambicensis

The next type is where. A. mossambicensis has 48 g; However, half expects the brood arms. Impressus is same way for years, tubers are hardly greößer, but there are breeding arms to the waving off... Is that the case with you? How do you get such a tuber in flowering size together?
Love greetings

Hi Michael,.
I would try a different fertilizer in the case. And possibly the substrate verändern...bei Africans perhaps mineral.
The brood arms would me interessieren...falls you who want to give up.

For me it looks rather as if there were no leaf Bud at all, but instead a 2 flower bud. Fortunately not completely worked out with the removal of the brood tubers approaches.

S. venosum

On weekends, I have harvested more tubers:

Out of about 9.5 cm large tuber which 325 g and flowers stuck to the planting time after the severed weighed only 142 g last year shortly after the harvest, is a tuber with diameter of 12 cm and 9 cm in height (at the strongest point of [bud not observed]) with 6 breeding tubers become. The weight was 894 g with and 697 g without Cormel. The largest Cormel weighed 51 g (⌀ 5 cm, height 3.5 with bud). The smallest weighed 15 g and a lazy job (white mud) had unfortunately, which is why I have disposed of them. I have more than enough tubers so that a rescue attempt is avoided. The location is very good to see in the first photo.

Only 6 Cormels were formed as 3 or 4 eyes had erupted at the hustle and bustle of flowering. That, only behind the bracts of flowering (2 behind the first two) and leaf (might have been one behind each involucral bract, so 4, fits at least to the number) were revealed, I did however leave. Breaking out of the eyes has had since probably positive impact on the size of the remaining primary Cormels. The largest Cormel of larger Corm from last year (15 cm in diameter with 750 g) was only 4 cm and 32 g at least 8 pieces.

index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4346 index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID 4347 = index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4349

The tubers in the next photo made by 5 20 g Cormels. The two (115 g and 75 g) 20 cm pot, the three (74 g, 60 g, 55 g) in the right three in one were in the basket left alone in a 23 cm in diameter. Here is once again quite clear, that either a much larger pot or planted separately brings better results. I reckon that since at least the largest of the 5 bulb blooms next year.

index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4350

That was a 22 g Cormel in a 30 cm pot, whose leaf compared with another equally-sized plant (also from a 22 g tuber) struck by the particularly wide leaflets, 2 had less of it and that was nevertheless only slightly smaller. In addition, the plant had only a sheet.
