Hi Klaus,

that's so remarkable!

Not a few years ago, tianum flowers were even a highlighting feature of a garden (Bonn) Yes really rare and somehow, but now many gardens with the culture seem to cope...

I'm still looking forward to the new blossom in Stuttgart...

Happy blooming, Bernhard.

Hello
This time I'm unfortunately also out... Woman is in the hospital, and a visit is not possible with the little ones.
Probably not just I'd like about the pictures...
Many greetings and thanks for the Info
Ralf

Hello everyone

Titanium to blossom in the Wilhelma in Stuttgart at the 9.9.18

Arrival at 15 h 45 - the bloom is already fairly wide openindex.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4305

The tuber was 39 kilograms (corrected) before flowering, is 15 years old, flowers for the 2nd time and its predecessor comes from a meristem culture from the Palm Garden in FrankfurtWie 2 months ago the plant was given a name from the Norse sagas - called Brunhilde. index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4306

Brunhilde is nice to see that involucral bract, flower stalks and the outside of the petal bear similar drawings

The flow of visitors was very überschaubar-at any time there was a crush or even a queue of flowering.
index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4313

Therefore I have abandoned my 'place on the flower' several times for short excursions. And also to escape the smell of this time was much stronger than 10 weeks ago.

or the lily pond (although there strictly speaking do not water lilies bloom)index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4307

is worth getting.

Back when Ephraim: the petal much more structured than at the flower of Alberich. index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4308

The spadix is good but only probably at least twice as extensive as Alberich in 50 cm higher. index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4310

the thermal maximum was reached around 21: 00 40deg c were measured. At 22: 00 there were only 37 degrees and the smell was again cleared up on a rest. index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4309

With all good wishes

Klaus

Hi Klaus,

Thank you for the report and the beautiful pictures! (With a Habenaria medusa I've flirted ever - but the place...)

The visitors "current" reminds me of a flower in Berlin, for which the garden did not even special advertising.

Did you smell on your clothes once in the morning?
After I had observed a flower and visitors in the Hill Garden in Hannover many hours, the scent hung still in the morning in my shirt...

Happy blooming, Bernhard.

Hi, Bernhard
The smell hangs really penetrating in the clothes. After the 3rd round in the shower I washed inside even the nose me to finally get rid of the smell. Also only partly used. :D
I forgot BTW is a picture index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4314
Rear: Dracontium gigas, A. Albus, A.fuscus and left front A.paeonifolius fruit stand. That was slightly off the flower by A.titanum as a companion plant.
Greeting
Klaus

Hi Klaus,
Thanks for this really great many report. Gewesen...irgendwie would be like I have the feeling that my horticultural doing without an own Titan to bloom is not perfect. Maybe I verrenne me back into something, but this kind of intrigued me ever again especially.

Greetings Ralf
