Unbekanntes Typhonium

Hello everyone

with us in the Botanical Garden, an unknown Typhonium (perhaps Sauromatum?) for the first time has flourished today. Our succulent gardener has received a few years ago by someone from the society of other Succulents plant.
Looks like a S.venosum, but a few significant differences. Of the journal, we have at the moment no photo, often lobed is but less than that of a S.venosum. Flowers smell: goat barn:D
Maybe someone of you has a tip?

Hello

I like the yellow s., who I'm looking for. Until now without success. :icon_sad:
Rareplants had the art on sale until this spring. I was too slow.
Pictured at Rareplants the flower looked right, recorded only with more sun.
I think you know the description:

Quote:
50 (70) cm, yellow s. is a unique color variation from Lake Tana in Ethiopia
with a yellow instead of a Brown spadix like the ordinary forms of India,.
and with more yellow on the spathe. Similar to the normal form is a single
(more rarely two or more), umbrella like leaves, which is formed after flowering.
For every humus, very well-drained substrate on a semi shady to sunny site.
During the rest period in the winter keep completely dry the tubers at a minimum of less than 5 ° C.
A global launch and compared to normal forms with an improved color combination! IV-V.

End of quote.

From one such flower gabs incidentally on the Internet for years a picture, what's gone years since a par.
And I thought at the time; because someone has a yellowed old photo scanned and placed in the network. :icon_xd:

If the botanical garden plant material abgibt(Sale) sometime I have interest.

Many greetings
Olvi

Hi Phillip,

It also looked me like ulcers and I remember that rareplants.eu (Bjørn Malkmus (pavement)-Hussein) had an image with the same phenotype on his side...
Alan Galloway confirmed to me yesterday also fracture; He has many Typhonium and I'll ask again whether it is form the Lake Tana...

Happy growing, Bernhard.

P.S.: Botanical gardens have become Yes soooo careful, since the delivery and acceptance of plants through the Treaty of Rio and the Nagoya international is strictly regulated. The gardener must throw all Cormels at the Earth shock...:icon_winkgrin:

First of all thanks for your many responses!
This looks form actually very close to the Lake Tana. We will ask again exactly the succulent plant gardener, so far we only know what we had written in the opening post.
It is not yet so bad with the Botanical Garden;) we look if not even a few primary Cormels "fall off"

Many greetings,
Jan and Timo

Hello together ;-)
I have received form the Lake Tana too - same source such as those from the eBay offer. However not all of them have moved and it has flourished even none with me. It differs from the normal fracture but only through the petiole :D if anyone is interested, I meld me again when I have dug them out, whether enough Cormels to submit there are ;-)
Greetings to all!

Hello hsonja,

How does the petiole differs from the normal form? Do you have a picture of a stick?
So far I've seen only pictures of the flower.
I have interest in a Cormel if it is so far.

Many greetings
Olvi

Sauromatum venosum - Lake Tana form where that should be probably identical with Sauromatum venosum - yellow spadix .

I have interest in a Cormel if it is so far.
We're already 2. I'm afraid, however, that interest is greater than there is to distribute Cormels.

The petiole is not patterned like the normal fracture, more uniformly green. I must time jamming if I upload the images get ;) Weis the devil where my little cam is, since BB´s is just to reduce the image size... May be I could again have, but primary Cormels gibts also. I call you when I know more until then

happy harvesting;)

If mine is not enough, I've been heaven and hell in motion used - to 95 percent I'd get again which in the spring. By the way, also a swap would be super.

Lake Tana Bilder

Soooo :D

Here are some pictures of Sauromatum venosum "Lake Tana" with direct comparisons to S. venosum and S. venosum 'Indian Giant'

Since they still not have blossomed for me (but I hope it next year) is a flower picture of my source :-D E

Confusion with eg. I'd therefore almost certainly exclude Arisaema. If the tubers to darken, you can confuse fracture but with the normal.

Hi Sonja,.

the 'Lake Tana' in the foreground on the last picture - is the normal form, but very wide leaf segments would then in the versus.

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Yes, it is :-D
If the tubers are small, the difference is still not so blatantly. Most likely, you notice the difference in the dark shaft. And if the tubers are freshly dug, they are significantly lighter and also smoother than normal ulcers.

Bernhard seems to be normal with the wide blade segments in the form.
