Amorphophallus paeoniifolius treibt

Hi folks,

Let send me three A. paeoniifolius tubers in the winter. An Asia shop in Holland.
It was of course too cold, the tubers started listening and schimmelten.
She have continuously diligently edited and treated for a few weeks they rested quietly to himself.
Today this surprise:D

Hi Michael,.

Thank you. So how that looked...;)
Repeatedly gammel-scraped, sprayed with sanitation/disinfection spray, allow to dry, cinnamon on it.
On the stove, and used.

Since they most drive is, how to speak dry in a water bath, to compensate for the lack of humidity.
Spraying will not, because it has cracks. The water ran in there, she would start probably inside rotting.

I think she grew up a biiiiisschen in the 2 days already...:)

Hi Bernard,.

that was a year ago, the titanum tuber looked douche, had a small black spot just right next to the tip into the well, which has spread then during the period on the whole tuber. I had tried everything, from coal and cinnamon, scratching out, Physan, Octenisept, fungicides and alcohol... but it should not be.
I suspect that when removing the blade a bit of stem on the tuber remained and the lazy point had formed by the wet conditions at the site.

The horse woman was easy but the rest was quite nice to ponder...

Love greetings
Michael

Hi Michael,.

Tuber occurred to me to your Titan something: you've done it at times warmer than usual?
30-35 degree, especially after a treatment so that logic applied to dry out quickly.
And the Knolles cheint to find it cozy. :-D
Sometimes there was a hair dryer - heat wave:D

Very nice people, ask also for the freshest delivery because you want to plant them out.
Possible that they are available only until March, then again until the new harvest in the Herbst(?).
And - I would not order in times of frost, but spring prefer the last shipment, depending on the weather conditions.
Or the first in the autumn;)

Hello Elee,.

late but:
You did correctly suspected the titanumknolle but overall not warmer than 20 – 25 ° C was, but after the application of disinfectants I've actually blow dried the piece. I've embarked the rest of the tuber in a damp towel, so that the bulb is not damaged.

Aaalso,

a few nanometres have been added there already... :icon_smoker:
(Someone's woe does object :icon_twistedevil1: )
That waits, like me, Sun and heat, so she can get to the outside. :)
Then we go off! :icon_winkgrin: :icon_winkgrin:
