Wie stelle ich ein Bild ins Forum

Hei folks,

I try all the time to put images in the Forum. Unfortunately I don't know me so because I am otherwise active in any other forum.

It comes all the time the error message: file too large. How do I shrink the file

Thank you very much

Greetings Christoph

Hello Christopher,

with irfanview you can images rel easily convert to a certain target size - http://www.irfanview.com/.
Possibly download at Heise: https://www.heise.de/download/product/irfanview-1965
The program is free for personal use...

Image then open file / batch/batch conversion options for Batchkovertierung: target format / jpg / options file size 290 KB set; then the target directory choose or create and select the image to shrink and start...

Sounds more complicated than it is...;)

Good luck, Bernhard.

1 Select picture

2. b for batch conversion

3. in the target format: set 290 KB file size

4. If target directory choose Browse and select a folder (possibly earlier create) when you select a new folder, the original image will be overwritten...)

5. then select the image to shrink above and click on start...

6. If the image is converted to batch stop clicking.

7. then can the scaled-down images in the Forum under file attachment upload...

Sometimes the thumbnail photo is pixelated or has incorrect colors; then you can actively use a hook special options at Zielfromat and then click on the set...

8 you can then change the size there click and select Select choose new size and image size set (0.29 mega pixels or similar) and as left or right turn other;
instead of size change / you can also a percentage of the original new size (proportional, 'Resample'-function use) take; with 33% of 3 to 4 MG image comes on mainly to 270 KB; otherwise, adjust the percentage.

Confirm with OK and then as above point 4. more...

Good luck, Bernhard.

Bilderprobleme 1

Either I got old :icon_erschreckt:
The Sw Forum has been further developed,
Because using an image now in the post has become a pure lottery for me.:icon_question2:

The following problems ...

1) I can no longer insert a picture in the middle of the text. Now it is always laid after the post and
With the text "XX attached the following image."
I mean, the picture used to be inserted where the cursor was. What happened to it?
When previewing, there was a control mark at the location of the picture that could be edited and so that
Ejube a bit there.

2) From time to time, the image is displayed only as a symbol in the box "XX has the following image attached."
To see the content, you then have to download the file (ê, pdf).
why?
Can I influence this myself?
Is the behavior dependent on file type ê, bmp ...?
If the administrator has a finger with him in the game, e.g. file too large, information only for
Forum members etc ...

Bilderprobleme 2

... only observations and odds and ends that would be "nice to know" but also...

(1) previously, a picture was getting bigger, if you clicked on it.
Often this works yet so, sometimes not.
If it doesn't work I must login first, before I can enlarge the image.
What is the logic behind this behavior?
Dealing with administrators perhaps a finger in the game?
Can I choose how an image will behave when you click?

(2) earlier, name and file type of the image has been displayed, if the cursor was placed on the image.
Often this works yet, sometimes does nothing.
Is there an explanation for this?

(3) there to see a way the uploaded image in the post when the previews?

Hello Olvi,

when I click on the "Edit Post" table as a moderator for your mycorrhiza contribution, you can see that

The image is uploaded but not inserted into the text.

I click the cursor once between the first two paragraphs and then click on the page/text icon to the left of the delete icon in the File Attachments tab, where your file mykorrhizza.jpg (87.19 KB) is displayed as uploaded.

Between the index.php?page=Attachment&attachmentID=4835 there is the software-internal number 4835 of the uploaded file.

Both in the preview and after the submission, the image is now inserted in the text and can be enlarged by clicking on it.

I haven't had the problems you've mentioned yet.

You may have forgotten to click on the page/text icon after you had placed the cursor where the image should be inserted.

Hope this helps,
Bernhard.

Thank you for the good instruction
