Good day Bernhardt
I got it while the amount, but nothing really balanced Konjac. The slightly larger tuber left weighs 3020gr has but three attached bread tubers that are cut off (makes sure 100gr). The 2nd pictured right has only 2540gr. Both have flower buds! I had still never a Konjacknolle with more than 1, 5 kg which would have not flourished. If you still can start something let me know. Maybe you're even a small giant who you want to trade. I certainly would be interested in a swap.

Greeting to all
Klaus

Hi Bernard,.

I though looking tubers (one brand currently on eBay in there), but unfortunately even no swap interest. Just when Indian giant I know no one else to turn to. And my existing two years plan to downsize the collection was so far not very successful, so I don't really need other new additions.:icon_confusednew:

With a prescription, it will probably nix. Dier plant should be at least in parts, toxic.

Good day together
The toxicity of the Konjac it stems from the oxalate crystals in the tissues. This is a corrosion protection poison many plants use. Such as spinach, Swiss chard, rhubarb, but in small quantities's can be found also in other tubers and even in the grain. These oxalate crystals are virtually impossible to neutralize. You can only be rinsed. The tubers should be washed carved and the first cooking water should be poured off, then the Konjacwurzel without any problems can be used as a vegetable. Good flavor that tastes like nothing. Who cares to represent the Glucomanan purely going on as to the production of potato starch. Caution! Glucomanan, so the strength of Konjac - root, has a tremendous capability of the source is but virtually no nutritional value.
E.g. Taro must be pre-treated still more elaborate left ends until it becomes edible.
This is what I know in the near future. What I know is not necessarily correct. If you see errors, then it says! We could learn all of them.

After potting the leaf growth was initially so lagnsam that I made myself starting to worry whether I simply but am not a gifted konjac Kultivateur, but now I'm seriously impressed... index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4231 index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 4232

I'm very excited what I from become a pot there in the autumn.

Hi, Bernhard
I'm glad to hear that you're happy. That the tuber late drives out something according to a blossoms we know.
The weather this year, but that shouldn't be a problem.
With me is the leaves of the tubers that have flourished only in recent days fully unfolded.
Unfortunately, at the moment, I can contribute any photos. Stuck after heart OP in rehab.
But I have Web and can be happy with me!
Greeting
Klaus

Bernhard, great plant. My need probably at least 2 years until they are also so great.

Hi Klaus, I wish a successful Rehab also. The konjacs you develop well, even by the addition (tubers with more than 3 g) all come up on one, the smallest. I had to repot two of the addition already because breeding arms (even 3 and even 4) ausbeulten the pots. One has pushed even a second sheet of the tubers of the addition.
