Helicodicerus muscivorus - Kulturbedingungen ?

Hello dear Stinkeblumen - community :icon_help:

I got mine this summer ordered small nodules at the provider from England. But these are not yet in the substrate but in the cool cellar dry dark stored.

Because I now know that the plant probably their growth phase in winter has I would like to know what I should do now. I care also Biarum which a sheet already has made one and the other is not expelled. I think I can maintain similar to the dead horse Arum?

Should I now pot the Helicodicerus and keep still dry and only then strain when they broke through the Earth? Even if they are not driven out so far? Or only if I can see a shoot? What is probably not so easy, because the tubers are really tiny.

Would be nice too, if someone also could give a little cultural tips :icon_confused:

I will probably take the Earth describing the ADA in the other thread, since I often order in cacti HAAGE.

Thank you very much and greetings

Christoph

Hello Christopher,

I would now pot the small nodules and keep slightly moist.
All my dead horses, which give belly over the summer in quiet are, start now on roots (and leaves) to drive; also my Ambrosina; you mean now all unanimous, that the (dry) summer is over and start the wet growing season.
And Yes, you can use them like Biarum and other Mediterranean "Winterwachser".

I have some plants that sometimes the summer grow out, but can't say whether these are always the same.

Here a current picture of my pots:

Front, the large plant has grown through the summer; just as the other less lush; front left a pot in which now down new roots at the exhaust holes are visible.

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Okay, then I do it like you say Bernhard. Super.

Thanks also for the links, one to the summary, I missed when I was looking after, but already some of the dead horse was written.

Greetings

Hi, Bernhard - I again

the large plant, which you've cultivated through looks Yes already quite spectacularly.
Should she bloom soon?
I know probably you no longer get the tuber to face, but that would have maybe even 5 cm and be thus capable of flowering?
Have I seen pictures of flowering plants had not so much foliage, but probably only because the plant blooms directly after the shoot and therefore at the time of flowering is just not so much foliage there?

Many dear greetings

Christoph

Hello Camarda,.

I hope long on a flower, but it was not to be so far...

This year however, I have one or two tubers, which appeared very large when repotting. I've seen them only from the bottom in the substrate or soil because they made new roots and I therefore do not have shaken off the substrate.
Whether the large plant in the journal will flourish? I don't know how big is the tuber.

Mr here had a flower in the Forum before and he wrote me, Helicodiceros blooms directly to drive out, but how Dracuculus makes first a few leaves and are pushing a flower bud then from the middle.

VG, Bernhard.

Hello everyone
My first Helicodicerus is currently driving aus...juchuuu. Now, I wonder how it looks with the fertiliser. This is you with the still rather small tuber (Bernhard, who are you) any meaningful distinction, and if so, can give a few tips to me? Do you also blue grain? Or better yet avoid...

Thank you very much and greetings
Ralf

Hi Ralf,.

I'm glad that they cast out!

If you took good potting soil, which certainly included enough fertilizer for starters.
I have blue only when the plants are outside; in the winter garden, I fertilizer all 1 is 4 weeks, liquid with approximately 0.1% of one of these fertilisers:

Plants wachsendie in the current light hardly ever, so the need is eh small; in a few weeks, and in the spring / summer which is of course different...

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Many greetings!
