Hello
I would love to read about your experiences, what types are as light and which direct sunlight to tolerate or even like, or which react very sensitively.
There are general rules, for example species of a particular region that have similar needs (E.g. Thailand = Penumbra)?
My tubers sprout all, many species of which I had never had.
I want to avoid that they burn themselves on the sunlight, but also that they unnecessarily to light stretching, due to a too dark site.
And of course, the space is tight and you want to populate both bright and dark areas with appropriate plants.
Here are my kinds of origin:
A. gallaensis (Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya)
A. impressus (Tanzania, Malawi)
A. mossambicensis (Mozambique, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia)
A. napalensis (Bhutan, Nepal and Sikkim)
A. bulbifer (India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal)
A. yuloensis (China [Yunnan])
A. albus (China [Yunnan])
A. asterostigmatus (Thailand, LOP Buri)
A. fuscus (Northern Thailand)
A. josefbogneri (Thailand)
A. maxwellii (Thailand, Kanchanaburi province)
A. operculatus (Thailand)
A. myosuroides (Laos)
A. ferruginosus (Laos)
A. natolii (Palawan, Philippines)
But details of other kinds are of course also welcome.
Greeting,
Christian
