Amorphophallus ranchanensis bei rarepalmseeds

Amorphophile,

Amorphophallus ranchanensis

http://www.rarepalmseeds.com/de/PIX/AmoRan.shtml

http://www.rarepalmseeds.com/de/small.shtml#aroids

I ordered 10; Years ago, a member of our forum there has ordered lambii A. which have flowered as lambii - so there could be maybe actually ranchanensis Amorphophallus...
On the other hand, the type (as a tuber) has once come to Europe and unfortunately gone...

Happy buying, Bernhard.

Hi Bernard,.

do you have further information about the type? Apart from a flower photo at Aroid.org, I could find nothing in. The type looks pretty big on the photo of the sheet at rarepalmseeds.

Greeting,
Christian

Hi Christian,.

the Botanical Garden in Hamburg told me yesterday by a specialist from the seeds in rel large numbers offered recently.
The problem now is that the species was once found (by Peter Boyce; Picture at the aroid.org) and not a plant in culture is. Except for the flower, there would be no image of the type.
The pictures at the party had rachanensis likely to hurt me and were probably in the paeoniifolius relationship...
If it was sure rachanensis, the price would have to be actually also rather astronomically high...

Possibly I've used €40,60 in the paeoniifolius sand now, but maybe it's Yes but one interesting way...

Unhappy...
Bernhard.

Hello of Andreas,

I had not gotten with that because I only look at rareplants.eu...
Are the wholesale packs still on the pages of the genera to find?
I was only now noticed there is the section at the bottom on the page by rareplants...

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Sorry Bernhard, finger error. I mean at rarepalmseeds. You have Yes, a page with the 10 Pack and a 100-10000er packs. The 100 were there to find.

Greeting
Andreas

The ranchanensis they sold turned out to be most probably hewittii. For sure not ranchanensis.
