The harvest of my IndianGiant is through for this year.
2 had 2 leaves and a just one. It hurt nothing seemingly tuber growth.

The primary Cormels from last year are not so much grown - but also primary Cormels have driven.
Can you do something with that? Eat or konjak so as in the?

Hi Michael,.

beautiful tubers!

Are you sure with regard to the provision in the longituberosus? The bulb so not "longi" seems to me...

Now here pictures of my already dormant tubers.
I have the Indian giant tubers now in its 2nd year in nursing.
The largest tuber put so far also the greatest growth.
This year with bloom and only one sheet but still the best size increase.

The two other tubers had every 2 sheets.

The fourth image shows the largest tuber of my konjacs. The caps of the flower at the beginning of the Austriebes and the prevented attempt of a new flowering shoot brought absolutely no good result.
The tuber seemingly has not tolerated it and is only a shadow of itself.

Hi Bernard,.

at longituberosus, I'm sure I've got that sent by Alan Galloway. It is 1223-01. The flower also unlike Alan's images. Next time will adjust a flower picture, I must still reduce it.

Love greetings
Michael

Hi Michael,.

Then I must of course withdraw my concerns okay...
You must have bought the then still as Alan Galloway has sent more tubers from the United States to foreign countries.

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Hello

@ Bernard:
here as promised still the year's flower of the longituberosus and the tuber from a broken-off part of the tuber. You will see that "longi" better for the young. the tuber growth is slightly compressed to shallow pots; also, the large tuber is shrunk pretty flower and fruit.

Then I have now because of aphids bolikhamxayensis, kachinensis, yuloensis and atroviridis forcibly sent into hibernation.

A. atroviridis was no longer too early, because there I discovered a great lazy place directly under the tip. I have removed the muddy tissue and allow to dry.
The rest of the tuber is healthy, but I think that the growing tip to save no longer will be, because hardly anything else including. Then three smaller tubers will be that. For the time being I but still together... Let's see it.
The last picture shows she are recognising last year's bulb. If it's not dried up, maybe what it is to make.

Love greetings
Michael

Hi Michael,.

Thank you for the picture of the flower - the difference in the color expression compared to Alan's image is interesting - probably the difference between room and greenhouse, if not even free-range culture at Alan...

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Hi Bernard,.

Yes, I noticed also, that Alan's is strong in color. The reason may be light, as light is the big problem with me. In the summer the plants take away each other light. I can offer only a few a place in the Sun. It is better in the winter, for a few over the rising heating air are then what then... well don't better attracts aphids.

Love greetings
Michael

Could reap my konjak. Man I'm proud of myself, it was the size of a bottle stopper and the tuber has reached the size of a cats head. :D
It has also three spin-off. The third branch is not in the photo.
Must be cleaned yet.

Very nice!

I never had a knack for konjac - my nodules were often not properly cut matured during the harvest or damaged (otherwise I can not explain this) and away rotted then often simply...

This year it looks the first time better - smooth fabric and am very hopeful that that is good through the winter.

Happy storing, Bernhard.

Bernhard, you tried Schonmal, what to plant? I put 3 years ago a couple in the bed, because I had no more room. They lived still this year.

Hello of Andreas,

No, I didn't have that with konjac - but... you look with Sauromatum venosum 'Indian giant' here:
Typhonium venosum in original condition? post #154

Quite possible that konjac which also survived, although it is here yes somewhat colder than you in the relative East of the Republic.
I will make late next year once, when the year's brood arms/-knöllchen are slightly larger...

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Hey,
I tried that once. The big problem was the cold nochnichteinmal. Almost all tubers away rotted me due to the humidity. I wanted to dig up some in the autumn but it was just a pile of mud. Two survivors, who were relatively dry. These have driven out again in the spring. It was also a very mild winter.

LG
Sven
