Schlechte Erde=total wütend

I was with my father at the savings to buy potting soil.
The earth you could buy was compost Earth so we bought them and the plants topften but this earth is really bad to throw away.

1.Die the Earth is so rough with chips that's no air circulation there and which not brainy roots as plants grow.

2.Alle soils were contaminated with fungal spores, there are proper mushrooms

3.VOLLER SCIARIDAE. Wow in this earth are so many sciaridae. There are flown continuously Sciaridae in my milk or have followed me.

Now seriously, you could have somehow heat not the Earth or sterilize.

to do this, you can only say – when the savings to buy no earth.

Purchase a good gardener, or a garden center of mine from Floragard in the assortment has.

Save the Earth is as if it saves as a mountaineering boots - do not so.

I think I take the Earth by the MA 48.
The Ma 48 compost Earth seems much more me air-permeable and sterile as the Earth by savings.

Hi,.

now there are actually all earth can buy as a consumer to a large extent from compost and other organic and mineral additives. A really good substrate on peat basis there are only in horticultural plants. For reasons of environmental protection, the proportion of peat at the Garden Center Earth to a minimum has shrunk.

That does not mean that these soils all are bad. But just when the culture of Tuberous plants like Amorphopahllus it is advisable to enrich the perlite substrate so that's not so heavily compacted and the tuber is not fault...

In case of doubt, you should buy the more expensive Earth anyway. Good substrates are usually also substantially lighter as the poorer, but also because some perlite helps!

Many greetings,

Maik

I'm now almost completely on coconut Earth. I want to use no peat for sustainability reasons, and the coconut Earth is loose and not compressed. Mixed with some perlite, Seramis and possibly other ingredients, it makes a decent substrate.

Hello of Andreas,

I'm not very fond of coconut, because it is usually too fine and not structure stable;
However, you mentioned that you are using a brand, which is quite rough and struktustabil - name / source?

Generally it must be said that all alternatives to good peat-based substrates never performing well in tests for professional horticulture as the original, but (unfortunately) bark substrates, coconut or compost...

Happy potting, Bernhard.

Such low-cost Earth in my opinion is unsuitable for Amorphophallus. I take high-quality peat soil and mix it with perlite, pine bark, and Holzkohlegries.

For example standard soil type ED73, Floragard TKS2, or from the cannabis grower field of bio canna bio Terra plus. Everything not cheap, but good quality. At the Stinkern, you should not save the Earth!

I have the last few years used whatever coconut Earth and used to nothing except some compost.
This year I have but fully also attacked and caught a to fine.
It absorbs water like a sponge and thickens. A big Konjac could therefore change the days on the compost.

Hi Bernard,.

I use this one: http://www.ebay.de/itm/24-x-9-L-Anzuchte... RQAAOSwYshUZIBf

I mix the coarser, which is then extremely rough, only when the types to which either do not or only large Cormels. I searched my myosuorides in the autumn between the rough namely Schonmal. Yes, seven did not go because of the coarse soil. ;-)

I bought way, action the rough at the cheap store.

I never had a problem with compacting.

Greeting
Andreas
