Anchomanes

Hi everyone,.
Does anybody actually Anchomanes?
After reading the posts here set that seems so a quite nice "plant" no, seriously, there are experiences over several years?
I want to get that at the earliest opportunity at rareplants.
For info always grateful and with best regards Matthias

I have Anchomanes dalzielii, but I only got it recently so I can't tell very much about it yet, it's still dormant.

I have Anchomanes difformis var. welwitschii, are almost a year old, but seedlings. You are in the terrarium in my other small tropical species and so far no problem. Still have your first hand, but I can still not say whether there is a notable tuber out of it.

Greeting
Andreas

Anchomanes gigas for years are cultivated in the Botanical Garden of Bochum. In the tropical House (open all year round at least 18 ° C), they are in a fairly damp, shady corner. The Earth is compost, plants get no care and no dry rest. They flower regularly and form fruits

Hi, this is ever so interesting
Is the substrate so humid as in Amorphophallus, if I understand you correctly?
Do you know whether the Bot.Garten sold Bochum seeds or emits a donation?
Would be interesting, because the source of most clearly in documents is recorded.
Best regards Matthias

That's a good question. I was often in the Botanical Garden of Bochum, but not as many Aronstäbe have noticed me. But not all green houses for the public accessible. I there but never saw someone, you could mention. Probably because but what is that I am usually on the weekend there.

Maybe I make to go there at some point in the week. Best with a handful of replacement bulbs. :D

Greeting
Andreas

So generally, the gardeners are usually willing to swap tubers. However, we have not very many Araceae :D In case the Anchomanes that but probably not going because we have too few of them. On weekends, whatever two gardeners are because making casting service, however it is rare the responsible gardener so that they can give nothing out. So better come mid-week pass;)
