Amorphophallus maxwellii Stiel Vergleich

My maxwellii starts grad with the shoot and I was quite surprised that the plant completely different looks like in the last year.
Figure 1 is the shoots from last year, was however quite late and is grown under artificial light, Figure2-3 shows the same plant in the greenhouse this year.
I have some others, but when the tip only watch but saw all last year as image 1, let's see what comes out where.

Hello Ronny,.

is the color of maxwellii still so bright with you?

I have the impression that depends on the colour of the leaf stems at maxwellii both the year and the conditions, as well as by age or size of the plant.

I have two origins of which I but don't know if there are different genotypes / clones; I was actually it did, because the petiole coloring of an origin was always dark. To do this, it must be said but that smaller plants were the dark type.

This year both origins look about the same with a slight green tint, with the previously darker type is now also almost as big as the formerly brighter.

Hi Bernard,.

currently it looks, even with Flash once without.
I just don't really know whether she got a light frost damage. In the garden, the stalk had dyed light green.
Had then taken after the first frost night with home they.

Do you have that the plants have gotten anything this year with more or less mineral content in the substrate of what changed?

And what more would - be interested what is it for a species that can be seen behind the maxwelli left with a nearly white stalk with a few stains?

Hello Lord.Maso,

This is also one maxwellii – if you greatly enlarged the image, you can read the label... :icon_winkgrin:

Is it true Ronny? I think this is one of the later driving off, which you mention in the post #1.

Happy growing, Bernhard.

True, is also a maxwellii, for me all are late, some look not out.

Earth is almost always the same, except I this year times mixed up the 40% coconut, because the coconut blocks easier to transport.
