Frage zu A. napalensis und A.bubifer

Hello

Here ask my (in the Vorstellungsthread already threatened) I unfortunately could not answer me with the search function.

1. are both mentioned types also ungetopft blühen capable?
2. There is a Gewichtsangebe (similar to A.konjac > = 700gr), from when these tubers can blossom
3. When should the tubers in the ground? At first sign for a shoot, after flowering, or when?

Sorry if I perhaps incorrectly used the search function, but the good will has been for several days there. In addition, the Bilddartsellungen in the INET, where potted tuberous appear also ungetopft in bloom and the same confuse me. Mess up three. :icon_confused:

Thank you for your help and greetings from Thuringia
Uwe

Hi Uwe,.

I have no experience with napalensis...

The bulbifer you can also getopft blossom, but then she should be kept safely dry.
Significant water demand arises only when the plant breathes and absorbs also water; but this is only the case when driving after flowering the leaf bud and leaf bud around the roots grow.
Significant evaporation occurs only after the leaf is unfolded.

If you topfst it and getopft bloom, is always the danger that the tuber is kept too moist and start to rot.

Happy growing, Bernhard.

I had transplanted my purchased napalensis last year in April, because I thought that it will bring. Now it's around but a flower, with no hand was pushed.
The bulb seems to be able to tolerate it quite well.

I would even say very moist ;)
In mid-May, was also with out and didn't get the rain.
I had a very permeable substrate with drainage layer, but scheinar that hasn't done anything out to her.
The tuber begins again just shoots, so I soon will beat that (but first let inside)

Best regards

Hi, you can get both species without substrate blossom. I had to leave my first napalensis dry flower. In Earth must one since the species always aupassen, that it is not too moist. otherwise, the tuber rotting away.

Hello

and thank you for the helpful responses, then tell me. Now the question remains open whether there is also kind of a minimum size / a minimum weight for these two types of tubers are capable of flowering.

Many greetings, Uwe

Hello

Since no one has answered the size of tubers and blossoming boldness at the A. Napalensis, here the result of your own:

the 145gr tuber has a flower put, however without involucral bract :icon_neutral:
the 225gr tuber is a normal flower and looks at the moment, grass green.
There are pictures here:[url = 'http://www.amorphophallus-forum.de/amorphophallus-napalensis-bl%C3%BCte-blatt-oder-was-wird-das-allgemein/amorphophallus-f26/t5564-f47/'] Amorphophallus napalensis - flower, leaf or what is the? [/ url]

With the A. bulbifer takes it up a notch, which is getopft, but gets no water and has the surface of the substrate is still a scant inches. Time look what is happening...

MfG Uwe
