My tubers of Dracunculus vulgaris I have placed between 15 and 20 cm.Since 2016, I have just looked in my file.
As described earlier, the tubers have moved deep into the earth quite quickly. That's why they survived frosts here. But it hasn't been colder than -9°C in the last three winters here.
Regards
Ada

Hello Alex,My D. vulgaris has already expelled in autumn, and stood over the winter as a small plant in the greenhouse - cold but frost-free. Now I'm curious to see if it continues to grow or move in. I bought the plant two years ago in spring as a tuber at a plant market. Maybe because of this unfavorable time she somehow runs beside the track ...
Greetings
Alex
