operculatus will nicht einziehen?

Hello together,
I have early 2014 an Operculatus by René bekommen(danke nochmal :D ), then after a little wait three sheets showed also good.
Now, 12 months have passed and the guy makes to collect absolutely no move. On the contrary; he drives a new leaf!
Must you prescribe a recommended rest time? ;)
I think it would be just less than optimal, if he would move towards the summer!
What do you mean?
Thank you, kind regards Stephan

Hello Stephen,.

I have currently several small operculatus in the journal and let in any case so long grow, how they want.
I would handle it so even with a larger - the tuber can grow only...
That it is still in the journal with you and makes even a rahimah, shows that the conditions you are good (even in low-light times); What should so make it out, if, if she moves well in the spring, then again drifting off in the autumn?

Maybe Rene white still Council...

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Hi Bernard,.
clearly I leave it as long as he wants (although it already pretty itchy finally dig up the tubers and to weigh). It has surprised only that the in and outdoor-konjacs clockwork are drawn together, the operculatus didn't care.
But he is cute must grow only!

Kind regards Stephan

Here one small tip for a cheap pot for operculatus.

Just go to the hardware store and buy as an orangenfarbenes drain pipe. Means I think KG pipe. There in different diameters. The best one, where a socket on one end. To do this you are buying the matching plugs, which you press in the sleeve. Already, the pot has a base:D

Only holes in the ground and the pot is perfect. At very high pots you should apply Additionally the side holes, so that the soil can dry better.

... and an interesting pot construction:icon_winkgrin:

:icon_blush_ORG: after I found still no appropriate pot for 3 Baumärkt, Bella flora and Dehner, I lost the nerves and an old pot of Clematis, sheated ;)
Just go to the hardware store and buy as an orangenfarbenes drain pipe.
Thanks, great tip! the orange is indeed terrible but you can sure paint...
How big or long the operculatus can be underground? Make 50 or 60 cm, or should I do it better longer?

Kind regards Stephan

Hi,.

There are matching tubes in white.
Because of the length, I can say with operculatus nix linearis has one meter pipe, what also needs the casting edge and fixing me.

Hello

60 cm should be enough. My largest tuber had a length of 40 cm. Since the 60 cm would work well.
