Erfahrung bei schrumpfender konjac Knolle

Hello together,

I have an a.konjac 2 years 895 grams in possession. Currently, the tuber has only a weight of approx. 130 grams.
I wanted to tell what exactly happened. Maybe are me happens also failed to care.

The tuber has trained in the second year a beautiful healthy blooms in February. The plant cost much force. I cut off the faded flower. The tuber was suspended until July, then drove off as the plant again. In the pot, I have kept even the young tubers together with s..
In December the plant was still fully in the juice in a beautiful green with thick root. When I saw after the tuber in the pot, already a large part of the substance of the tubers was dissolved, or lazy. There was no mold.
I then removed the rotten part with the still-green plant with stalk and dry blow dried the healthy Uberrest of the tuber.
What happened, that I was still the plant growth until December and that a part of the tuber was rotten?
It is normal that after flowering the bulb approx. Resting half a year?
I've bought good earth but not fertilized.

Thank you for your advice

Hello

Losses are normal after a flower. What you call a bad bulb, is the old tuber. This is also normal.

Each year, the plant consumes their old tuber. The energy it uses them to the development of the leaf. Then a new Corm forms every year.

Yes, and the rest of the old tuber rotting then just something in the pot. No more bad.

In General, it is konjac very hungry. She needs every week 1 x fertilizer in the summer, so neat size to put on them. If she should grow in the autumn / winter, fertilize then there 1 x a month.

The rest period is also normal after flowering.

It is important to mention that konjac must be absolutely dry A. flowering! Bloom without a substrate can be. And if with substrate, the substrate must be absolutely dry. Never pour during flowering.
I would never keep the plant with other plants in a pot. Always a plant in a pot alone.

Thanks for the advice.

Fertilize with the always careful was I, as I by the
new earth am assumed that sufficient nutrients are present.
I'm going to fertilize this year with the start.
Which fertilizers would be recommended?
Is it therefore normal that the plant isn't in the rest period merges in December?
I've had the indentation of the blade at the smaller tubers in October.
Should I cut off otherwise the journal in November, to get the tuber to rest faster?
The timing of the large tuber has caused minor problems with me as I correctly deal with the bulb...

This is normal. The time has shifted only by the flower. If you're of the opinion, that it has made already a sufficient tuber can be the sheet also cut off.

I would take exclusively mineral fertilizer as fertilizer and no organic fertiliser.
Wuxal Super or Everris Universol yellow.

By Everris I use the P he is stressed and this is important for the growth of the tubers.
