Hello of Andreas,

the large tropical (Asian) Amorphophallus seedlings take part in 2 to 4 leaves before they collect the first time; they can are also simultaneously multiple sheets, and then the oldest will turn sometime yellow "does".

The rest period is rather short few weeks up to several months.

If the tubers have a size of something, hold 1 sheet per growing season with subsequent rest on the rule.

The tropical this better not be out getopft and completely dry store, but in light of freuchtem substrate or LEICTH damp Sphagnum.

Worth a look, always: Amorphophallus soil/dormancy list / substrate / storage conditions / rest period

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Huhu,.

the Titans grow well;)
7 piece unfolds just the first sheet, the slow are still only a few inches high.
What pleases me most is the variability of the seedlings. On most of the photos I've seen titanum tribes all look more or less alike.
Between Seramis and the Earth mix seems it barely different to give. The blockage seems to be less suitable. There the seeds germinated quite fast, but when the drive they are slower than the rest.

Hello of Andreas,

I think this will not go well, the box is much too shallow and then also have three.
I would repot them, now rather than later.
Despite small box, it became beautiful plants.

Furthermore just earth it seems, without additives, such as perlite. Thus, the substrate should be too close and at some point, the roots die off
It should be a very airy substrate.

Ben, thanks for your info, go tomorrow then equal time in the building/garden market buy perlite in the reptile Department.
Should I mix it then with regular potting soil, or with TKS (peat growing medium ungedüngt)?,...ggrrr, here it comes out
the much less demanding bananas/Palm scene and makes mistakes with the demanding Titanum.
Then pot to in deeper pots.
Greetings
Andreas

If already in the DIY go - then look if you can find also a substrate called Lechuza-PON with you – for us is that at the HORNBACH.
Equal to the Earth mixed use - in addition to the perlite - and still something interesting to make that - yet. This pine bark.

And if you're at the hardware store, make a wide berth to the normal Earth :D TKS ungedüngt for seed is better.

You mix it with 20-30% perlite and other additives, and then it should work.

I'm always Holzkohlengries, perlite and pine bark as aggregates. The substrate is then nice airy.

Yes Amorphophallus is no comparison to bananas, but learn anyone who starts the painful way, because he will have initially much losses.

I was also so, and is also partially still as.

Stephan

titanum seed has become unfortunately soft and had to be disposed of
get jealous when I see your already unfolded sheets have, my time with drive out, my two remaining seeds have only half a cm tip just 1cm and the other seed. While the smaller plant previously in soil and later Lechuza-PON has been repotted.
Maybe do now faster something, because the sun shines now more common and thus warms the temperature in the attic room in which the plants are.

long, slowly wirds now something they have grown no mm Yes, titanum has a 4 cm now, the other has grown by half to 1 cm, maybe they were also due to the replace the Earth slightly offended. the minor was in the Lechuza granules potted the other was getoft in new Earth because despite yellow boards are numerous Sciaridae herumgeschwiert, since the Earth exchange the mosquitoes are gone. And the yellow Panel recently even if even unintentionally, :D my cat has dared probably slightly too close to the pots ran, there were probably the sparrows near again in window, think that is not so fast more in that close to my plants trust the sticky yellow part was enough for him. Is Herum drove wildly to shake off this yellow thing.

As looks could be on you with the Titans from?
All my plants from my LED Anzuchstschrank are long in the open air, just for my 3 Titans, I stoked up still ~ 30 degrees and
full power LED.

Can the Titans now at room temperature on a window sill without direct sunlight, or is the average
23 degrees too cold?

Titans in midsummer (June/Jul / Aug) the outdoor type ABT has somebody ever? At the Rhine go there infrequently at night under
18 degrees... Only so ne idea, not the same with the leg on it. :icon_angel:

Greetings
Andreas

PS: The Titans have still your first hand, not another up date pushed.
2. PS: The Titans are still in your perlite/lava/sand/TKS coconut mix =_> no fertilizer.

Hello of Andeas,

at 23 ° C, you can stand on the windowsill and they also tolerate Sun.

I would fertilize also - the tuber to grow but...

At least 18 C ° I would try it with a plant also quietly out...

Mine are still not so great from the collective purchase order, but you had to germinate even at Zimmerttemperatur...

Happy growing, Bernhard.

was so less than 3 cm in diameter. End of may about fed, mid-October first motion detected.
Stood in the very hot greenhouse over the summer, and a little moistened, but sometimes a few days dry as a bone...

All three the other two are alive, but significantly smaller Corm.

It is already.
