hewittii Samen Anzucht

As some here from the Forum in the next few weeks hewitti seeds will get, I would announce my history-planning here.

The (wild) fish are released and the Amorphos pull into the Aquarium. :P
20w heating mat with the waste heat from the tubes, I should come out between min. 20 ° C (at night) and maximum 35 ° C on the day.

I have even a climate chart from East Malaysia sought out, warm is it there in any case.
http://www.klimadiagramme.de/Australien/kotakinabalu.html

I would wear my 15 seeds in different substrates to see the differences.
1: normal soil mix
2: seramis
3: seramis + extra (which?)
4: seramis-erstatz (lava BIMS, that winter spreading?)
5: sermis replacement + extra?

As far as the plan, wait on the Sämchen;)

I was planning on doing the same as with all the Amorphophallus seeds I got. I will plant them in Canna Seed Mix with extra perlite, coarse sand, clay minerals and a little charcoal and put the pots in a curverbox (big plastic box) and heat it to around 25 degrees. So far I had good results with this method.

I am very strong at think about whether I'm trying with "cat toilet litter box" n times. :icon_blush_ORG:
There are mineral litter with much bentonite, Montmorillonite, Sepiolite and similar porous materials.
The cat litter (Aldi) what I've tested so far was only "mud" probably on clay base, after the water wars

Two years ago, I've experimented once with cat litter. The idea behind this is mold prevention at slow germinators. At that time, I have tested it with avocado.

Was positive, that there was in fact no mold and after the germs could man Salihu simply repot in proper soil, because the litter from crumbled.

It was negative that the seeds germinated much faster at a later germination test with Avocados in propagation.

I can't say now whether that was a coincidence, but in cat litter, the germination of my 3 seeds between 8 and 20 weeks lasted, in Earth, it was more like 4-6 weeks.

Greeting
Andreas

Were you previously flushed the litter?
Some varieties are also "perfume cat litter", perhaps that would have an influence.

I have ensured that there is a mineral litter without fragrance or accessories. I mean, I bought it at that time in dm, the brand but don't remember. And since when the first casting of the graininess much water out of the drainage holes directly again runs out a small flush automatically.

But why do you ask for the flushing? These are just the pounded crumbs out washed. This should have no effect on germination.

Greeting
Andreas

I had rather thought of the additions which may germinate this delay.
1-2 seeds I'm even litter stick, let's see what comes out;)

would you let germinate the seeds directly in the Seramis without Sphagnum etc.?

I let in my few on farms from seed (dacylifer and 2 x paeoniifolius [both rather koratensis, da reddish stem]) that germinate in Sphagnum. If the roots have come I have simply used the seeds with some Moss into the pot and covered with substrate.

I trust mine not to look after me.
I put just the converted Aquarium where even my orchids grow merrily messed up and the pot with the Titanum.

They germinate so quickly?

Hey titanutzz,
thanks a lot!

your method sounds very good-that must work.
i hope my one is also efficient-i took my amorpho-soil-put a lot perlite, vermiculite and peelings from cocoa to a more (i think) comfortabe mixture for the hewittiis.

@flutblumen-die kerlchen waren schon etwas angetrieben als sie am freitag angekommen sind-bernhard hatte sie sin feuchte küchenrolle gewickelt.
