Konjacs are rather insensitive.

I unearth it usually at the earliest if the blade of the tuber is easily resolve. Last year I left but also time consciously a few pots full of konjacs in the Earth and then only over the winter in the stairwell. You are all again expelled. Even in the garden planted out, that I had missed when clean in the spring came again.

Greeting
Andreas

The good Oldi submitts (October 2012) of exactly two years ago a handful of primary Cormels to me.
Meanwhile, my largest tuber brings approximately 1.5 kg on the scale. I wonder whether I may expect this winter with a flower :D

Greetings

I'm sure the blooms 'Great'. My smallest tuber weighed 450 gr as it has flourished.

I think since you can have hope. After wintering in the cold garage lock, all about 500gr bloom at me Funnily enough.!

Would you plant something else, all the little ones? There you can open up a "Konjacdestille" 2015! :icon_lachtot:

OHA, are you doing what with small whole tubers?
My 20 or 25 are too much and get the days back in the bed with 50% compost.

Hi,.

so if here is written that Konjac blossom BB´s already with more than 500 grams, then I am simply times already on the upcoming Spring!
I have harvested about 2 weeks ago and beautiful tuberous with weights of 1.023-3.450 grams, as well as approximately 140 Cormels with between 5 and 116 grams came to light. :icon_eek:
I am totally surprised because I had potted tuberous with approx. 29-220 grams in the spring!:icon_eek:
I had them in anthracite dark pots with a diameter of at least oily tubers in full sunlight was fertilized weekly with Hakaphos blue; Result-> almost all the pots were so dented, that they in the harvest cracked or had to be cut, heal to the tubers from the pots to ' ´ press! :icon_lol: :icon_motz:. Well, a container for mortar get expensive, but next year, which are cheaper and I hope also something more robust.
Is it conducive, for the flower when it is warmer or more cooler? Currently I stocked it with other Arisaemas and Sauromatum in the basement at about 15 ° C, in winter also slightly cooler (up to 10 ° C)
Images of tubers and Cormels follow!:-D

Today I did konjac out my largest, which grew last year after the harvest to 14, 5 kg 10 kg.
Diameter 42cm
Height approx. 20cm

The leaf had a height of approx. 20 m and a span of over 2 m.

My left is formerly 5 kg bulb which is done on 8 kg.

Got my foot (shoe size 42) made a size comparison with the image.
The tubers have always so small on the images.

Hello Ronny,.

Since I'm quite envious :icon_respekt: - I with konjac strangely still never been lucky... :icon_sadnew: - why that of a mystery to me...

Are both bulbs in pot culture or you planting that out also?

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Hi Bernard,.

they are grown in the bucket, the large pots up from the screen (zersägtes 200l rain barrel) is below open.
I have had some in the bed, that works also beautifully, in the bucket, the Earth warms up just faster
and thus the tubers grow a bit better, is my experience.

Wow, really great harvest, congratulations!
With us it don't looks so good this year. The largest tuber has (like last year after harvest) 3. 2kg, and like last year, lazy bodies and deep cracks on the bottom. Why is hard to say... Otherwise, we have still a tuber with approx. 2.5 and one with 1.8 kilos and countless more.

Ronnyede congratulations, I say - this is the largest 2014!

My experience is, the raised bed of AKs are always the bucket AKs consider lengths! And when the bucket is still so great.

Why, the result is always the same.

My biggest A.konjak and T.venosum are now also unearthed...
There I am on a 744 g T.venosum
Instead of 3 I have harvested only 2 large Konjaks
2,4Kg, approx. 1 kg increase
Have you neglected this year 2,2Kg, ca 100 g growth, but since I and barely fertilized and and they had generally too wet, not... I wonder
Always all my new varieties that I've got to be alive this year are grown and :) not a completely bad year
