Klasse ! - bitte mehr.... :-)

Hi Ortwin,.

I need you by the way be agree: I smell anything...:icon_winkgrin:

Seems to be a phenomenon of wife - my wife said recently, after I had fed with friends at the Turks, that I röche terribly after garlic:
Purest olfactory hallucinations!
Since I smelled nothing... :icon_lol:

Happy photographic, Bernhard.

Hello

I changed just the title in "Araceae in 3D", because with me, but not so many Amorphophallusarten blossom and I have another "stinker".

In the picture it's an Arisaema peninsula (= A. serratum var. serratum); She has very beautiful in the spring and also long flowered, grows well and is easy to clean.
Since I don't know whether she is really Hardy, I überwintere the tuber dry in the basement. This works quite well. Unfortunately she multiply poorly.

Many greetings

Hi Ortwin,.

impressive as always... :icon_thumbs1:

Is the leaf stalk of your dactylifer even so highly structured? (Amorphophallus dactylifer contest post #22)

I have an other genotype in which that is not as pronounced, but if your strong strukturiertist, a 3-D image would be worth!

Happy photographic, Bernhard.

Hi Bernard,.

Your wish is my command.

Here the petiole of my A. dactylifer.
I have to say the image was a real challenge because of the short distance.
Better I won't get out but it at the moment. Maybe I try it on a balmy winter night again.

I A. dactylifer is a particularly beautiful Amorphophallus. In particular I like the entire plant structure - especially in larger plants in addition to the interesting petiole.
It grows easily. Since mid-June, a smaller plant is outside in the garden; She gets about 3-4 hours of midday sun;
so far, this works very well. I didn't expect that so.

Many greetings

Wow !

Hi Ortwin,.

so for it first is still very impressive!

Class, as in the edge of these wart-like growths so beautiful come out.

Impressive too, like you the depth of field - got to chapeau!

This is a very nice clone of dactylifer, by the way - great dark color and very nice also the strong structure! Is it a hybrid?

Looking at it was a real challenge to make the 3-D image, because the distance between the parallel pictures is so small for me first.
But after some squinting, it worked then...

Thank you for the photo - looking forward to more 3-D images...

Happy photographic, Bernhard.

Hi Bernard,.

It is a seedling which I received a few years ago by Andreas Wistuba. The petiole is quite uniformly dark in the color, so that the warts are well above. Last year the plant was about 1, 20 m high. This year she got stuck in the big heat (I had about 40° in the winter garden) in growth. I hope that she still continues to grow.

Many greetings

Hello

even with the best will, I can do it not a 3D image to his squint; but the structure looks quite impressive in 2D!
The heat makes problems some plants, some orchids are stagnant in growth.

Love greetings

Hi Michael,.

the 3D work usually only after several attempts. With me it took 2 days until I had the technique on it. Since that time, it is no longer a problem. You need patience and must take his time. If the brain has once strapped as it is, it always works.

Many greetings

Hello

I was a few weeks ago in the Palmengarten in Frankfurt and saw there a flourishing Cyrtosperma johnstonii.
I found the plant so fascinating that I've tried here 3D to make recordings (Picture1 is not of course in 3D!).

It was about 1, 30 m high and had very nice sheets and interesting leaf stalks.

Someone from the Forum has this plant and can say something about the care?

Hello

now a picture of Arisaema sikkokianum that comes to me every year to bloom. While the tubers are not very durable, I'm trying the inventory but by sowing to obtain. This year it was particularly problematic because of the intense heat in the summer months. The plants are moved very early. Digging out a large part of the tubers was soggy. Also the other Arisaemas had their problems.

Hello

Here I have the recording an A. paeonifolius flowers.
I made the image in the Cairns Flecker botanical garden.

The Botanical Garden was very impressive. He had many Araceae and also some Amorphophallus species strikingly (eg. gigas, titanum mülleri and some others). Through the hot and humid tropical weather they prospered right; no comparison to the growth here in Central Europe.

The flower was not very large; She had about a diameter of about 40cm. I would have expected them larger.

Hi Ortwin,.

class, as always :icon_thumbs1:

That so many Amorphophallus grow in Cairns is easy, as so often, on staff.
Steve Jackson is just amorphophil and has already caused many interesting hybrids.

E.g. http://www.amorphophallus-network.org/hy...silvae-x-gigas/

Hello

now 2 varieties of Arum dioscoridis, in the first picture that SSP. syriacum and the second image that SSP. spectabile.
I didn't expect to make so much difference of inflorescences in a way.
Both have blossomed this year in late May.

Arum dioscoridis grows on me without any problems. The leaves are solid green.
Advantage is, that the plant in the winter months has their main growing season, so winter green.
I together planted them with Sun-compatible Hostas, so that this year round continuously something Green is visible.

Many greetings

Hello Sookie,.

Thank you very much. It was glad if the images like.

I'll show always some pictures at irregular intervals. First I had the intention to bring only inflorescences of Amorphophallusarten - for me, but too few of them bloom. That is why I have had to rely on the Arum family. But there's also some beautiful species. Also, there's some Forum members which at the same time maintain such as Arisaema - Arum -, and other species.
Those who don't get the stereo views, can watch the pictures just so - shut in 2D.

Many greetings

So once again a new image.

I have now taken advantage of the sunshine and me trying on a close-up of the spadix of A. konjac.
The recording has become quite sharp, but not much else is in there with my compact camera. Well, you can see the bulges of the spadix despite everything.

The many white reflections are what I noticed anywhere on the spadix.
A question to the expert: These are small crystals? And if so, what are they?

Hello

I did today but still two images where you believe it looks better.

Are there crystals or maybe just dried drops on the spadix.
The droplets, which produce the special fragrance of these plants at the evaporator maybe?

What do you mean?

Hi Ortwin,.

I have observed already that degrees in species where the flowers are slightly larger. At little flowers I haven't seen yet it.
Once great fragrance experience going, more and more this small drop had formed until the whole spadix was full.
Then disappear to the drops of the wilting over time.

Will look at the next flowering more times on it.
