That doesn't work cameras normally with the finished 3D. At least not with those who I know. These are aimed at a distance of 5-20 m, since they have a fixed eye relief (6.5-7 cm) between the two lenses, which also cannot be changed.

the 3D image is actually slightly smaller than the two source images in this recording.
