HI Stinkmorchel,

The fact that the dwarf already looks very different compared to the "normal" G. angustus is quite astonishing.

Do you or anyone from employees (Kustos or the like) possibly have to ask Muse in Heidelberg if there is more information about the plants? Possibly also photos of the plant and also the flower?

If I have further shots of the flower, I will write to Wilbert Hetterscheid again and ask him for a comment on whether the flower fits G. angustus.

If you use the description to the flower stalk and the flower here:
https://www.mozambiqueflora.com/speciesd ... ecies_id=111990
Once generously interpreted, the description could fit even possibly.

Happy growing, Bernhard.

HI Bernhard,

I will ask our Kustos to inquire in Heidelberg. Normally the plant would still have to exist there, because it is quite robust.

Greeting

Jan and Timo

Hi Bernard,.

I have asked the curator of Heidelberg, Dr. Andreas Franzke to the Gonatopus and sent him your flower photos. His answer:

"when Wilbert says that that is from Heidelberg, then I want to believe that on the one hand like, but the conclusion is andereseits, it is also a real rough collection certainly somewhat overestimated (versus getting someone else):"

In our database there are only these Gonatopus - accessions:

104519 or 106892, both surviving old stocks, each with the history of this provision:

"16.09.2013: determination (inspection) by D. Safi (BG Lyon) by Gonatopus boivinii (Decne.)" Also known as"to" Gonatopus cf. " angustus N.E.Br." ("boivinii" is wrong with safety)

And there were times 142253 as Gonatopus boivinii a legacy (signed 2001) ran, also.

In all this, no levy at Bochum is listed, but of course does not mean that happened may yet.

It was about your part in the Araceae Forum Yes it even (?) a few years ago:

http://www.Amorphophallus-Forum.de/index... languageCode = en

... see in particular the entry "Tuesday, November 3, 2015 08:54"

It may be natural that there was once more Akzesionen, geschschafft have it is not up to the modern recording and you could - as proposed there - the corresponding field books 3 to 5 durchfortsten, but whether a there may be found on collection then really is one of your accession is certainly only get. As almost always, without any number is a mapping auschichtslos. actually"

No really new insights, but still nice:)

Greeting,
Timo

Here an update of the flower (I add here that, because I want to send in the aroid-L still left and to see the thread flowers just for registered members):

index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 5021 index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 5022 index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID 5023 = index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID 5024 =

index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 5025

The peduncle has stretched slightly; whether the Spatha still open, I don't know, probably she would have still...
Addendum: and if that still opens: http://www.aroid.org/genera/serveimage.php?key=715 , I just notice that the plant by David Scherberich has yes same leaf shape, such as the Bochum clone...

Happy blooming, Bernhard.

You're right, the leaf shape by David Scherberichs plant fit - even if the flower looks slightly different.

Today, the flower was then blossomed; It was to see at least pollen and the Spatha had opened up.
I'm not sure whether this has been the normal course, because on the flower, aphids were to see; the Spatha without the infestation grew up evetuell even further? I don't know...

index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 5066 index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 5067 index.php? page = attachment & attachmentID = 5068

I've noticed also no scent...

Because the flower but very of is different, is to see that at the IAS, I there or even Wilbert Hetterschied, ask what is to keep it.

Happy blooming, Bernhard.

Tuber fans,

here are pictures of three tubers from May 2021, after which the plants had moved in; the tubers had become quite large in the meantime, so that they were already pushing themselves out of the shell...

index.php?page=Attachment&attachmentID=7132 index.php?page=Attachment&attachmentID=7133

After I left them dry for a relatively long time, I potted them about 4 weeks ago and they now drive the first leaf buds.

Happy growing, Bernhard.

They look as if something could have been shared. Did you take the opportunity or did they come back into the earth undivided?

34

Samstag, 17. Juli 2021, 16:21

They went away via ebay to cover my heating costs for the conservatory.... ;-)
And one got olvi2004... Thanks to Olvi2004....
But some others, have already forgotten how many exactly, I believe 3, I have stuffed undivided...

I hope the result was satisfactory.

Thank you, that was better than expected and has at least reduced the deficit of the last few years...
But a hobby on a certain scale always remains a thing where you leave a lot of money...
But as long as it is reasonably manageable and enjoyable, that's OK,,,

Hello Bernhard,

I know that somewhere... for me, it's the cost of light.
How I will do this in the future, I do not know yet, as I will soon move and have a greenhouse. But I think that heating will hardly be possible... let's see, now I have to think about the move of 2.5 m gigas lambii and borneensis...

Best regards,
Michael
