Angiopteris evecta Bootfarn

Hi, I once boldly ask, does anyone have experience with Angiopteris? I moulds long to try, but Angiopteris is apparently not to get and a growing from spores is not possible. I know very precisely by the way, what it would be for a giant to me. I am curious. Best regards M.:icon_question2:

Hi,.
I had to Google this thing first, ferns are not my case, but this is very impressive! The most important question would be like: you can hibernate something even without fronds?:D

That's just it, who has a resting phase, in which he is completely manicuring regions with drying time in relatively dry areas, so. I myself saw in Bali. You can winter it in the State even relatively cool. According to the statement, he is durable even in pots. May beginning of September. Without leaves, he looks like a turtle. V.G M.

Really very tempting...
I found a short article to multiply, if I understand it correctly the spores are stable only a day.

Very interesting article, only with your feet in the water thats def. Wrong, not drying out wet, but not permanent. As I said it is Bali leafless just damp humosem substrate. V.G M.

Well, if that's true with the low durability of the spores, you can bend well that...
Too bad, because the reproduction via spores is actually not that difficult, but rather tedious...

Happy growing, Bernhard.

P.S.: If one drives so the curiosity...
Here:
http://www.baumfarn.at/treefern/viewtopi...619336a7c6bb0a0
writes one of poor germination rates at old spores - so it could go...

and here:
https://www.Google.de/URL?SA=t & rct = j & q = &... 62578216 d.Yms
you will find that there should be a copy in the Hill Garden in Hanover - there are also fresh spores... - No, should I not even drop that in the bag - I know the curator and a gardener there...:icon_winkgrin:

Interesannte plant. After what I just read, spores growing seems to be Yes feasible. Me turns but above all the question, how big is then an example. year plant? It's been worth it?

I prefer such as basically no Palm trees from seed, I have a couple from a previous attempt, but also to 3jahren still in window size. See Palm I imagine something that at least greater than a meter. Therefore, you are too slow for seed breeding.

Does anyone know how fast this fern grows?

Greeting
Andreas

Hello, everybody, I've got him in the nursery. WWW.Paraplants.com found for Australian dollar pot 16,90 in 100 mm. Unfortunately, the nursery North Brisbane and I have no idea how this is the plants shipped from Australia. Bare roots have to be sure if any and whether this is possible in such a small Angiopteris I dare to doubt. However, the indicated description confirmed that it should be not so difficult to keep the is absolutely true. V.G M.P.S.. The nursery offers also seeds and young plants of A.titanum
