Ernte 2013 nach miserablem Sommer - bin ratlos...

Hello together,
am a beginner first and secondly something clueless...:icon_help:
Summary: My first and only A. konjak early 2012 get, early March shoots, planted in 2/3 potting soil and 20% sand, 15% fine pine bark, manure pellets, blue and Hornspäne.
End of may with just under 1.40 m grown out (Figure 1), then on the terrace.
Moved in late September, weight of 540 g on 1029 g almost doubled (Figure 2).
Cool and dry winters in the basement, approx. 10-14 °
At the end may first in February on the window sill, shoots :icon_confusednew: , planted in the same substrate as in the previous year.
Plant has rumgezickt, did not exceed 15 cm and also has not unfolded the sheet :icon_nosmile: despite good care (as I)
End of September, digging out today - an apparently healthy, firm and sweet-smelling, but underweight tuber 660 g and again driving daughter tubers emerged :icon_irre: (images 3-6)

What now? It would be nice if someone kindly could explain the next steps. Again plant or not, light/dark store, what do I do with the daughter tubers, etc. questions about issues...

Ever thank you in advance

Michael

Hi Michael,.

I have apparently also not too happy knack for konjac, because I also know this stuck shoots.
I push it on to wet and cold to substrate, which leads to root damage or allow no good root development.

If your bulb I'd cut off the primary Cormels/-austriebe and store the tuber dry again until spring; possibly in the basement at lower temperatures.

But the konjac professionals here have more Erfhrung and perhaps more accurately know what bulb is going on with server... - so what time neatly writes...

Happy writing, Bernhard.

Hi Bernard,.

Thanks for the quick reply, but too cold/wet I can rule out. The bucket is available on underfloor heating, and that completes this year until mid-June because witterungsgesteuert - that again is what :icon_explode: the wild has the plants this year never to face (branches??) get. Cast was that the Earth was moderately moist, so anything like last year.

Have a nice weekend

Michael

Hello
Basically, it is as powerless, if the bulb does not want.
But generally, you could convert your substrate easily. Pine bark in the substrate takes away space and increased the C/N ratio (the nutrient expires slower implementation). You should not do with blue in the substrate, which is a fast effective fertilizer is intended for top dressing. If the fertilizer pellets are slow-release fertilizer they are a good choice as Hornspäne.

Hello Stinkmorchel,

Also a big thank you - but what do I do now with the candidates? This includes following possibilities come to mind:
  • All plant again
  • All dry winter in the carton
  • Cancel Cormels / cut, back one by one plant
  • Ditto, individually dry store
  • Ditto, store Corm and Cormels plant in February in the warm, (seems to me the best)
  • Konjakweitwurf
Borrowing greetings
Michael

Hello

I would in your place, the tuber to store dry as it is, the top dry again. If she still want to drive, you have plenty of time to plant them again
It looks like it's still the old bulb, since no new has arisen.
This little bump at the top is that this year has grown.

Even if you plant that now are doing and which pushes a hand comes out doing nothing, either only Macdonald, a double bulb or a mini tuber with Macdonald.
the light simply not sufficient at this time of year.

Ronny
