Hi,.
I made a surprising discovery a few days ago, which very surprised me. To the background:
I had bought last year napalensis an Amorphophallus, which shoots well and spawned a very large sheet. But then came decay on the tuber and I took some cuttings from the sheet, which had loosened from the putrid rest of former Corm. Two of them are actually grown in the greenhouse and trained ca 0, 5 and 1 cm large tubers, which I tried to Hibernate, warm and almost dry. However, the nodules was completely butt and I thought to myself, Oh I just throw them away and put them in the pot of amaryllis. Then nothing was forever long. But now a small Amorphophallus out, looks me this pot only completely inexplicable, until I thought again of the reproduction attempt.
Now my questions:
-Can I leave the plant in the Amaryllis in it (pure coconut fiber substrate, so I bought the Amaryllis) or should I them apart somehow muddle and separate from each other?
-At this plant really is it Amorphophallus napalensis? I don't know if you can see enough to testify about to make, but I bought the large tuber (approx. 15 cm diameter) for only 7 euros and wondering shortly after the purchase whether the really can be one napalensis?
Otherwise, it seems fairly good to go the Amorphophallus as well as the Amaryllis and they come out fine so far, but I have a funny feeling, so I hope now on your help.
Manuel
