Hello
to say it is not the best title, but no better I thought
Today I wanted to show you, how do I store my species, which it may not dry land. These are species such as A.lambii, A.titanum, A.hewittii, A.gigas, A.decus-silvae, u.v.m.
First I'm a suitable container. In the example here, it is a normal box of crickets from the terrarium accessories.
Then I'll take Sphagnum moss (the premium Moss from Chile) and wet it. Then I wring it out easily. But please not with full power out press the water. Yes pointless. The MOSS should be still wet to wet, but not wet. Like this, like a wet rag.
Now be I fill the container half loose with the MOSS and put into the tuber. In the example, it is Tan my John young, which I pulled from a cutting.
I fill up the container with MOSS, then press it to
light . Then cover it and ready
Now only 1 times a week or all 14 to damp and control.
With storage in substrate, I've repeatedly had failures. Since I store the tubers in the Moss, I have more to complain about any failures. Another advantage is that as a result the tubers are easier to control much. I check once a week. I take out the Moss, do a Visual inspection of the tuber to new wet moss and then I put the bulb back into.
Even difficult candidates, such as gigas and decus-silvae survived in the MOSS without damage. Even a corm with a large laceration. She is now back in the Earth and drives off.
