Was bin ich??

Moin.
Got some Amorphophallus tubers from a friend some time ago. This had got them some time ago from a botanical garden (no idea which).
These were marked as Amorphophallus hildebrandtii . I doubt however that clueless but am what art actually is. The feature which is for me the most in the eye is the section "heart shaped" petiole. The tuber has flourished until now still no.
Here two pictures:

Hope you can help me further.
LG Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,.

a few years ago are under the name of cf. hildebrandtii taurostigma come into circulation from a dealer in D and GB, but which have a fine feathered or higher resolution hand actually, so I would suspect something else with you.

@Stephan: If someone from the facebook group recognizes the way, let us know...

Happy growing, Bernhard.

THE experts mean I Alan Galloway, Wilbert Hetterscheidt and co.

Even reply received from Alan Galloway.

It could be ankarana your way to A.. Coloring and leaf shape would fit there fairly well. This is not 100% identification, but jediglich a note.
http://www4.ncsu.edu/~Alan/plants/aroids...allus/Ankarana/

Indirectly to the caption "hildebrandtii" would fit, because both come from Madagascar. A.Ankarana was first discovered in the Ankarana massif. Hence the name:)

To make sure you have to wait but it blooms.

But it fits. In the photo, only young plants can be seen. A second expert is same opinion that your copy is A.ankarana.

Both men are real experts in the field of Amorphophallus.

It looks like when the tubers for it should be but already quite large.
How big are yours and make already Cormels?

Happy growing, Bernhard.

Hi Bernard.
Some tubers are relatively large. Guess as to the 250 g maximum. Have not weighed yet still you. You have already made some Cormels so I'm to leave some in the autumn/winter if you are interested.
LG Sebastian
