und jetzt einfach warten?

Hello Forum,.

I am a newbie here in the Forum, as well as with the "great tuber". Recently bought an A. paeoniifolius via eBay/Röpke me, advertised with 350gr. It weighs but rather more and has a horizontal. ø 11, 35 cm / size of 37 cm. The diameter was measured in two places and divided, and fits to the extent may be not so very closely. I was surprised that the tuber is but a fair bit larger, as I did... expect it is probably because that it is my first?

Here come a "proof"photo, crumbs and dust from their current storage area.

Well, and, eh, now? I have read on Yes already so much this impatience me as possible, but! I'm not so keen on the flower, rather the leaf and its possible size. I wanted to substrate an airy mix 1 / 4 potting soil, 1 / 4 perlite, 1 / 4 charcoal, and even 1/4 something make,... maybe pumice, or pine bark? Maybe a little Horn meal to... well, I not ordered yet the entire substrate, because I'm waiting for a stirring of my bulb, and can take his time at the elephant, writes her? I've since pots and normal Earth. What take it because as a drainage? Expanded clay some inches high, or absorbs too much water? Ordinary gravel?

How should I because the best store in the meantime, is located directly on the heating in a wooden box. Litter is small animal bedding at the moment so that it is soft, and it is dry. Or is it possibly to dry? Besprühe it off and on, away from the litter, with a little water and let then the ventilation it... I play on the game now simply always, until what?

Many regards,
Alex

Re: und jetzt einfach warten?

Hi Alex,.

Yes, just have patience!

With the spraying, I would be careful; I won't do that.
My paeonifolius from seeds are without substrate in the winter garden (8 - 25 + CÂ ° depending on the radiation) in their pots.
I would store your not close to the heating...

My getopft are only after root approaches to see are clear; even then, they are kept only slightly (!) moist until they develop the leaf and the roots have good durchwurzelt the pot.

Happy growing,
Bernhard.

Hi Alex.
First welcome to the Forum. : wave:
And patience is needed in particular. The A.paeoniifolius is not as reliable as the A.konjak in the spring.
I had also already tubers that have only been in August. : explode:

Re: und jetzt einfach warten?

Hey, even a Hello back! : wave:

Only in August? Oh you ever...

well, thank you for your assistance and the tips. I have filed now away the bulb of heating. The radiators are warm bright just like geöhnlich directly under the window sill, but also dry. Grml. Then the box simply stops on a book shelf, until what excites... when ever.:D

I have worried me now also a few Konjacs that I sometimes n plants have, that which shows itself. Are still very tiny tubers, but I'm very excited about the growth and leaf.

Alex
