Sauromatum venosum fallen um

My S. venosum want all not stand. Is this normal?

Last year I had only a small ca 20 cm height. She stood upright as I was used to from the other Aroids. But the current do not stand. As this happened with the first, I thought that the bulb would not deep enough in the ground. The next I used then ca 10 cm deep, but no difference. This is apparently nothing the plants. The first stands or hangs so for about 2 weeks. They are solid and very healthy affect on the lack of stability.

The room is illuminated by a 400 W sodium lamp, should be so not too dark. Temperature is about 22-25 degrees.

Hello of Andreas,

I think that you are fast yet, i.e. when the given light intensity, it is too hot or the illuminance in the temperature not enough to keep the plants compact.
Then the blue light share is too low; at the NA Damflampe sufficient blue light the plants would upset or da inhibited elongation growth.

If temperatures permit, you can indeed put them out and then put that the result leaves not vergeilen.

(un)Happy growing, Bernhard.

As Bernhard has already written, it falls to the sodium vapor lamp. It has a higher proportion of red. Thus, autumn light is generated.
As a result, they are fast because it is blue very low. These lamps are used for the flowering phase of "special" plants.

For growth, you need share with high blue light. You need a Metallic hydride lamp for your lighting

But I think 400 Watts to oversized, since they are all plants that prefer partial shade.

Interesting. I did not thought the color of light here. But the bulb shown by friends fits in my lamp. Thus, I can simply change the.

Still, Rau points is not unfortunately. Here is Frost and snow.

I also do not specifically have the 400 Watt for the Aroids. I have lit both overwintering spaces with these lamps, so that everyone will get enough light. The lamp hangs in 3.5 m above sea level, therefore the full strength below no longer comes on.

The color temperature is very important to plants;)

Yes, the light shown by me you can screw with you into the socket, but caution...

your lamp ballast must be for MH lamps. Take a look there first...

Most of the time is because what with HPS (high pressure sodium) = sodium vapor lamp and MH (metallic hydride)

If it is only for sodium vapour lamps, then you need also a different ballast.
