Blüht sie oder blüht sie - Sookies Knolle

Hi your tubers breeder, here the latest photo of my A.konjac bulb. I've taken it before about 3 weeks from the wintering grounds (ca. 10 ° C). And now it is already 42 cm. Here the question: it blooms or blossoms she? Or what? The image can be seen centrally thickening. Is this the base of the spadix may? I would like to please many JAA BB´s. It is now at about 20 degrees to the buil. Is this o.k.? Or are other important things to keep in mind. I hope to have many expert hints and tips euerseits

Greetings Sookie

Yes is a flower

Aaaaaaaber... If that is the final pot for the bulb, then bottle it please deeper. Still, you can see the bulb. As a rule, the one the tuber so deeply buries, as it is high.

But as long as she blossoms the Earth dry keep. So do not pour!
Only when the sheet is growing, slowly pour in.

@Domi: If you mean with alba A.albus, then I would say that it is a leaf.

I appears the pot is small enough. Thus, the tuber should be still quite small and thus form no flower.

Hallo "Schreck"

Thank you for your "casting tip", this was as far as known. But I have another question. When must or I must disconnect because the "dead" flower? Or dissolves the dry part of alone from? I'm afraid to damage a new tip?

Greetings Sookie

Hai

So it is an A. albus, sorry for the typo.

The tuber has started to drive and when the drive was about 2 cm long I have it eingetopgt. Until then, she had no roots. That was in about 1 to 2 weeks ago. If she has to etz which, I can not say will not rum digging into the pot.

The bulb has a diameter of about 3 cm.

@ Sookie: the flower dries off alone. Just dry, pull off from time to time. Irgendwannn is slightly off the flower.

@ Danny: with a diameter of 3 cm there is nothing blooms and are also no roots with a 2 cm-long drive. Form later.

Hai

So the drive is 20 cm rather than 2 cm and he has opened up and is a sheet as you say.

But great looks.

Sie hat endlich geblüht

and how beautiful she has flourished. I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Unfortunately, my post was answered by the March 26 by anyone. So I try it again today. Text original.

Hello you Dear "Knollies"; now she has blossomed yet! Thanks to your tips. A beautiful flower 1.45 high. The second lags slightly behind, at 50cm height. My neighbors are all jealous. Now I have yet another question: is the Forum that the Stuttgart Wilhelma says: a drink of water in the calyx prevents the smell! This is an early April Fool's joke or what? This would be Yes awesome– then I could put the flowers in the living room.

Greetings Sookie

PS: the perfume has left the room after 1 week

Nice pictures :) that was meant, ironically, that your neighbors were envious:D
But the neighbors must have driven the stench:D

Hallo Shreck

Of course, it was ironic. But still, the question has been not entirely unfounded. My neighbors take regrettable way actually. Since the tubers this year for the first time flourished, it was very impressive for me and my related/acquaintances. 1.Spruch was always: I want a spin-off! Last year, 32 daughter tubers were available on a tuber. Give it up but reluctant.

PS: try half in the raised bed have cultivated the tubers. Worked excellent. (with simple standard soil without fertilizers).

Greetings Sookie

No April Fool's joke. The explanation was as follows:

The plant uses for dusting not bees, but flying. Therefore it has the color of old meat, smells of decay and I knew up to the Wilhelma visit not - so as putrefying meat it produces heat. The piston is a few degrees warmer than the environment. So a plant but has a very limited power and water to cool the piston on low-odor-free temperatures down.

I also noticed that the flowers in warm rooms smell stronger. So's try it out and let us know the reactions of "subjects"!

Greeting
Peter

Otherwise I agree Stinkmorchel – you'll no longer know in the near future, where with the toys...
