Panne mit A. myosuroides

Hello

I have committed a fatal error with my Amorphophallus myosuroides tubers...

Like my other tubers they are fed in the fall, I have unearthed about, reviewed and put back into the Earth, provided then all the pots in a box in a corner.

Now, months later I am looking in the box and what I see: dry leaves on the myosuroides pot! :icon_eek:
Apparently they are dried so, without that I noticed it, expelled in the middle of the winter when cold and complete dryness... and at some point again.

I barely trust myself to see whether there are tubers in it are.

So, if you have even myosuroides, always keeping an eye on it have...
Gruß,
Christian

Is there a specific reason why you left that in Earth? According to the dormacy list that are stored but dry.

The tubers have only a few mm diameter, in the air, I fear that they dry up.
Yes I have not cast, in this respect, it is already a dry storage.

You can leave the tubers also without problems in dry soil. However, you should check the don't forget:D

Next time, you know better then Yes.

This older topic here:
What Earth? Leave bulb in the ground? Origin?
stands now but again, the myosuroides should be kept slightly moist.
And has written at least Wilbert Hetterscheid.

My mouse had moved almost 2 months ago and now start in the half dry MOSS to exorcise. I will pot which soon again and keep warm.
You wanted to not grow this year with me in rather loose Earth. It is possible that the species prefers a more loamy-humic soil?

Best regards

loamy is dangerous due to strong reverse wet / compress - but humic on each case - all like plants that more or less

Then I get in thank you, not so much charcoal and clay this time.
I can then type with hewittii and titanum in the Aquarium, or not she likes high humidity?

Hi,.

A myosuroides is stored in absolutely dry to me. I have although light weight loss but even the smallest bulbs cast out again after they were transplanted back and kept slightly moist. This is getting to me one of the simplest ways, no special care, cheapest Earth and proliferate yet; from "Rest of Earth", which will be disposed of in the garden, even the smallest myos grow.
The only thing in my experience is necessary, is to separate the tubers to check and the conglomerate of daughter tubers. The mass of driving out tubers on too little space is inconvenient because of the missing space in the soil as well as the light. I had even pulled a try myosuroides untouched dry leaving a pot of A. winter (so more or less naturally). The result you see on image 1: the right pot with the non excavated tubers grows next year rather puny with dull blades and has hardly flourished. Separating the bulbs is so necessary. Figure 2 shows a tuber with daughter tubers.
If you are myos.Tubers need contact me...

Love greetings

Michael

MoinMoin

I was in the spring get 8 medium-sized tubers, and transplanted them into very loose soil with plenty of charcoal and clay. They were in the House in a bright place with ca 2 hours direct sunlight. Unfortunately, they have grown rather badly and have rarely pushed a second sheet. Dig out after I had 3 'big' tubers and 6 small (sometimes only 0, 05 g hard).

As mentioned above, they are quite soon expelled and yesterday I eingtopft again.
This time not so loose and rather humic soil at about 18-22 ° C.
If only babies are left after the next harvest, I would come back again to your offer;)
