I use also these neon lights for growing, but only one of each bed. The large plants are then a 400W sodium lamp. It gets used quite cheap on ebay. I mean, there were around 50-70 euro.

Hi,.

am just totally excited! Wanted earlier dispose the dead Arisaema flavum, I discovered in the Earth small beads similar fabric.
Could not even cover that now real flavum I tubers of Arisaema, because more or less Brown and broken hanging already for a long time before them.
Have I searched now "broken" pots 0.75 cm 11 small nodules with a size of 0,5-. (All already tedious work on the little things.
Now my questions!
Small nodules are ever survive?, if so, how do I store the small Pearl? and when should you expel at least again? (This spring or that is now once a year break?)
Am totally happy, but also saddened because I Yes (yet) do not know what I should now do with the toys!

PLEASE HELP ME FAST!

So I think that there are no tubers after such a short time. What are the pearls because?

I would rather put on Langzeitdüngekugeln.

Tubers store actually getting dry, but if it really ought to be a small tuber, will dry them in dry storage. Therefore I would rather store them in slightly damp substrate.

Hi,.

somehow the images don't work with my new phone, must once again look. It times to describe, there are small almost white, light brown beads, which have a kind of pointy at one end, with this "tip" even a desiccated leaf hung off, which I but plucked off (fell rather by from alone). I have also no long term fertilizer balls, but just normal potting soil and perlite in my substrate and perlite looks definitely different (I also thought that there are any perlite crumbs, but are lighter and intensely white. In addition, I found the Pearl directly to places where the plants were times.
So definitely can say that it must be small nodules. Have I done now in a re closable use clear plastic bags, after I washed them first roughly and then dried.
I'll try tomorrow to make photos of the nodules, if it works!

Manuel

So how you describe it, it is really small tubers. Then let just to minimally moist earth.

I know but not so good about me with Arisaema. The best again, you have to wait what other users say.

So there are definitely tubers. I also always seedlings die off and I do then store the small tubers in paper towels. A seedling could make even a tuber, though the hand was cut off.
I can but also doesn't say how long does the rest.

Thanks for the help!
I can but the tubers just in the deep-freezing, or? I mean, there can also no moisture out and I lose none of the tiny tubers.:D
I can breathe now by the way again as my more or less burnt Dracunculus drive a new leaf shoots now all out watch the roots already out of the pot. Even Arum pictum SSP.. sagittifolium now gets a 2nd hand at some plants.
I promise pictures times (on indefinite period :icon_move: ) damn technology:motz:

Let the plant material in a closed container. 1 then molds it and 2 can then rot the tuber.

Oxygen Exchange to observe.

What speaks for against minimal damp Sphagnum moss or soil?

I personally hold that if the tubers in substrate, you have no good control of the tubers. Because if one starts to mouldy or rotten you realize it only when it is already too late, in the bag you can see it stop right now and can make specific countermeasures.
But clear: No air exchange + = warm, moist air mold, rotting on the tuber. Logical equation!
Will they so as soon as possible pot and moderately humid. Temperature but at warm room temperature or colder? (Rot if too cold, or not?)
I war the images simply not that must me weekend again closer to deal with.

Hai,

have finally found out how to do with the pictures and of course equally attached to the currently defined by this morning.
I have now all Arisaema flavum potty emptied and doing 18 nodules reap can 0.5-1.5 cm in diameter. The newer ones are a lot bigger (those who openly lying around are the)
Otherwise it's all plant well back and all push hard new leaves, even Arum pictum SSP.. sagittifolium

This means that your yellow already have seized on the seeded 13.11.12 A. and tubers have up to 1.5 cm? Not bad for 4 months.:)

Also never thought that so quickly become what. Wanted to throw away at the beginning, when all become one after the other Brown, already the pot, until I discovered by chance a small tuber. Lucked out! :D . It was generally about End of December until the end of January from rather poorly with the whole bunch of growing until now everything has recovered and now again turning green.
I can actually, if there is enough warm again, seedlings also searched outside in the shade or semi-shade make, or pull a eh soon (culture time up to now approximately 2.5 months). And above all, I must separate the plants planted as a group (4 in a pot) in the summer? Or must I do really anything in a larger pot? (Did not come now all alone, or 4 in a 7 x 7 x 7 cm pot, leaves but until now still gets in the way).

Hello Konjacstämmchen,

What happened your A. actually henryis? Have you sprouted? I ordered namely seeds of this kind of Amorphophallus me from the same provider. My I to the 21.2.2013 seeded and placed on a window sill for about 18-22 degrees Celsius. Well, they're finally sprouted. 5 Out of 8 PCs. germinated after more than a month.:D Since 3 weeks after sowing anything had sprouted and I'm an impatient person, I was already a bit afraid to have old seeds.

Friendly greetings

Hi, martin67

my A. henryi are already somewhere in the Eternal Rainforest :icon_frown: . When I saw after about 1 1/2 months after, has a strange smell came against me, as I opened the door of the terrarium. I rum buddelte something in the substrate I saw loud little worm who have made it in the seeds (eaten up?) easily. They were then hollow (so the seeds :D )
That same, although where already 3 germinated when the worms came and destroyed everything happened in my Sauromatum giganteum.
I then cleaned the entire terrarium and washed out, handle the other seedlings in new Earth and since then calm before any kind of infestation.

Maybe let I but again me A. heryi seeds, because I've seen already again what else pretty.

P.S.: The Arisaema taiwanense happened that same as with the henryi.:icon_sad:

Hi Manuel

This is not good news. :icon_sad: I had this weird worms in the compost. I think these are fruit fly larvae. Since I had this problem, I simply put the soil before sowing in the microwave. That kills just about everything, what rum juveniles there. Insect eggs are also grilled.:D

P.S.: wish you good luck at the new trial.:icon_thumbs1:

Friendly greetings

These are no fruit fly larvae, but larvae of everyone's "favorite" Trauermücke.

These larvae look glassy. Are very troublesome. Because the fight against Google please times

To prevent, I sterilisiere the Earth in the microwave. In the sowing book by Prof. Deno, the tip is given twice with boiling water to pour over the Earth. I will test times at the earliest opportunity.

Because the water heater can stand in the plant room and my girlfriend no longer complains about bowls with Earth in the microwave.:D

Oh, and I have also yellow sticker anywhere where plants are. So you are caught individual Sciaridae and others. Also, you will so quickly infested.

From pour over and put it in the microwave, I think not much. Thus destroying the Microfauna and the substrate is a dead substrate, where it easily has mold.

Yellow stickers, however, are very effective. A yellow sticker is sufficient in each pot. Thus, the flying males are caught and thus preventing an increase. The larvae in the soil should be SF nematodes.

When using nematodes, then you must treat all plant pots in the apartment so that, there is no point otherwise.

Hai,

After a long time I want to now again the progress that now plants (no more plants, at least in part) show. The best growth showed Dracunculus canariensis in the low light of the terrarium and Helicodiceros muscivorus. The D.c. is now about 19 inches tall and the H.m.. 17 cm (measured from the top of the pot to the highest point, so the largest sheet).
Here again the latest images (currently from this morning!)
Because Yes on the weather next week will do a lot in Bavaria, the small beginning Wednesday of next week come at last in the long-awaited ground (of course times only in the shadow!) and thus also the hope rises to large tuber in the?Autumn? or when time pull up whatever the first.
The great Umtopf action last week first became clear to me what I have so far used for crappy substrate (low Earth - a mistake I will never never never make (even if the konjacs don't mind :D )) I had to remove the whole earth to the sausages around because large lumps having bound, which hold no water at all, the substrate was also generally very difficult but totally dry. Now, they have better Earth with new fertilizer and plenty of water.
One positive side effect was that I small tubers and roots well could see what me at the S.v ' IG ´ had impressed, that the half pot from a tuber was filled and finally forms a new leaf (has at the moment only one). The H.m.. have somehow not tuber (not even a little, for this beautiful, thick, fleshy roots, which occupy more space, when the plant is in itself great.
Well, you are, now get them soon unobstructed UV light of the Sun, and hopefully well continue to grow.

Greeting
Manuel
