Aussaat von Arum pictum sagittifolium

Hello

Once again, I have a question for the present experts in the field of the Arum.
On the Internet a nice plant called Arum pictum sagittifolium saw and would like to now buy them (seeds).
It was there that cold will be the seeds of this type for a long time, that they germinate at all.
On the other hand, that they come from Mallorca and as far as I know there are there usually no frosts, or was there but also, :icon_confused: ?
Please help me to succeed in sowing and I get many beautiful plants.

Where we just at sowing are (it doesn't fit although actually the topic) but:
You can see already Arisaema and Sauromatum out now (November) or is it still too early?

Thank you for your (hopefully many and early :D ) answers!

Cold are not necessarily means frost. Speaking of the nurseries. This can be done by one outsources the seed some weeks in wet sand in a cool place. We did also ever packed (so that they stay moist) Kaki seeds in a freezer bag in the fridge, that works too.

Thank you!

But that is necessary in this variety or tell me without?
That Yes, if the seeds cold once made, were brought back into the warm and then cold that then drops the germ rate to a minimum. Is that really?
The provider has stored the seeds at approx. 5 ° namely, by transporting them again warmer (at current temperatures, perhaps not so) and when I put it back in the fridge get cold again.
Or must I provide cold then ever again?
Afraid halt, that when I me that order, that by my further proceed no germs!
But thanks again for the reply!

So,.

I got the seeds now times ordered. Let's see what they do.
I think but since this species blooms in autumn, seeds should be ripe in spring and summer, and they were stored then Yes at ca. 5 °.
So I guess that this time the cold peace (from about June - November) enough, and the seeds then germinate.

Time will then (when I saw the seeds) a documentary about germ successes and make my more culture.
But only the seeds must come to me!:D

Unfortunately, we know nothing precise about the stratification at Arum. Know more experienced user. We are looking forward to your documentation!

I have seeds from A.italicum this summer (winter green) and A. apulum seeded. A.Italicum is very quickly sprouted without pretreatment. In A.apulum, two now recently germinated. However, I don't know whether this is normal for A.apulum or not, since I can find no information about whether or not the individual types are semi-evergreen. Semi-evergreen species should need no stratification theory.

Greeting,

Thomas
