Lieferung meiner neuen Amorphos

Hello to all bulbous freaks,: wave:
Hardly da........schon problems: ops:...: help:
Today I received a delivery of 3 A.Sorten, you were really super Frost packed with styrofoam, with much Luftprolsterfolie and everything is so, however, you can't say anything

But .............alle were packed in damp kitchen roll paper speeding tickets, and then each of its own, well labeled in a plastic bag. . : shock:: shock:
First the good news that A. muelleri has well kept through and well tolerated, it is the largest tuber it probably looks.

Now to the other:
The A. napiger is an oblong-shaped bulb (about 10 cm long), which is very soft and thong, particularly at one end of approximately 5 cm, it looks like a Wasserleiche. =)

The A. serrulatus is 1 1/2 cm in diameter and is also thong and soft. :(

Now I have strike there where I produced them.

My question is, if the two are dry again, they could survive that?
What could I do that so that I can get through them?

Above all, I would like know how I now bring in tubers, at least the ideal A. muelleri.

Re: Lieferung meiner neuen Amorphos

Please can one tell where the A.napiger is up and down me? : ops:: ops:
They are no longer quite so soft after the unpack to some drought.:D
It said they must remain long dry due to their small size and must be kept always slightly moist. Doing that with your little ones as well?
I hope I not nerve. But tubers make me slightly nervous.

Hello

not Regenwaldfeucht is slightly damp! Very important. The substrate must be really only gaaaanz slightly moist in the Ãœberwinterung. Hand moisture is already too much. If you want to go there to play it safe, buy you Sphagnum mossdo this slightly moist, and then embed the tubers. So, you can daily check whether the bulb fault and intervene given mass. Na when you thong and schwabbelig. will they have a cold damage. You can try to store them until some days dry and look. Should the place stay schwabbelig, they peel out with a sharp knife and seal the wound site with charcoal powder.

Yes, the black with the... Toilet paper I know to is enough. Absolute summer must, but in the winter not absolutely necessary, if it is in a plastic bag. My tuber, which I have always received from the far East, have all survived it without paper...

On the subject at the beginning and end: because there's a simple trick;-) You think it not-> the tuber as long store, until the new tip shows and then you know where is up and down: lach dead:: lach dead:

Re: Lieferung meiner neuen Amorphos

To the Ãœberwintern need not as high temperatures, except for species that come from subtropical regions.
So A.titanum, A.gigas and co.

In "normal" types, you have to beware that it is not less than 10 â ° C, otherwise there are no problems. Simply store in a cool room, e.g. heating cellar. You can store it at room temperature. There are no real differences, except that the tubers at higher temperatures to tend while drying out the resting phase...

Re: Lieferung meiner neuen Amorphos

Hi Stephen, I have to say napiger and A. serrulatus now at around 20 ° C where the A. I pass on to the very light moisture... the A. muelleri stands at 13-15 ° C. Can I keep that but dry?

Re: Lieferung meiner neuen Amorphos

Na clear but you can keep the A.muellerii dry. Is Yes closely disease with A.bulbifer and that stores one Yes also dry.

Eigendlich, you could store dry A.serrulatus and A. napiger. You come from Thailand and there should be no further problems with dry storage. But surely is sure, before I tell you here all drivel: lach dead:: lach dead:: löl:: kruecken:

Re: Lieferung meiner neuen Amorphos

Kopf hoch, 3 / 4 of my collection had lost at the time. Goods many extremely rare kind underneath. (Am.lambii, borneenis, gigas, infundibuliformis, ssp bintulu) For this reason, I had no more desire and have devoted myself to my cacti. But lately I got again lust on it ^ ^
Will be on ebay oda in Berthold again for species look keep. But now only the subtropical species. Have even a balcony greenhouse with a heating pad, but they are first on the ground.
And since Frank has stopped in the field of Amorphophallus I know net where I can find such rarities again.
Mit grünen Grüßen

Re: Lieferung meiner neuen Amorphos

Niels I press you the thumbs that again so lucky you, to get there again. In some plants, it is really very difficult. But often comes unexpectedly. On ebay I would personally not necessarily try, since I would have too little trust. : ops:

Re: Lieferung meiner neuen Amorphos

Yes Volker, you must know and know what or who is behind it, but how often it gets on the wrong...: shock:
There are very reliable and super tolle people about ebay, one she must only for bad traders mess up a lot. My comment was only an indication, to be rather careful caution cautious. You never know who is running one of the way.
Rather recommend someone leave than to strike blindly.
