The price is actually pretty average... good according to my observations, you can always hit a bargain on eBay, if you have patience.

Pflänzenmärkte are really a good tip, I saw that already.

Thank you for your tips. Bought simokianum on the rare market in the Grugapark in Essen this year already two Arisaema.
I had however brought this for a friend. They were two days on my balcony and I fell into it!
Had I taken with it equal to some. Son fucking!:icon_explode:

This is also a really nice way.
What me but so far by the purchase has held is the fact that I've heard that they live not too long. You should so have 2-3 pieces and multiply through seeding.
As I said, that was only heard and let me love to convince otherwise.

Ciao, Tobias

Hi of tubers fans
ARI. sikkokianum is in the multiannual culture in this country m.M. After much more difficult than for example candidissimum or fargesii.

The distribution is (roughly) on our coordinates of corresponding height but still far out on island.

-If someone shows me about these species we say ~ 5 years successfully cultivated + may be increased, and asks again.

Greeting
Dixon

I can confirm that with slightly difficult culture well. I got it now, I believe, the third year and actually every year had failures. I have them only in pot culture. I don't know now whether plants perhaps would be a better alternative, because that I have not dared so far even because of winter.:D

Hello Mr,

I vaguely remember that even an expert of the pot culture of sikkokianum strongly has discouraged me; that would be going on not good - planting time with very good antifreeze was more successful in the long term.

I to Arisaema fargesii have a question - you look here:
Arisaema fargesii hardiness?

Happy growing, Bernhard.

sikokianum

Hello together,
sikokianum I can contribute to Arisaema the following. It is indeed no easy way! Planted in the ground, the tuber spreads quickly downward, so that to after winter, if you look to quickly think that is entered. It is in fact not very durable. In addition, the drifting of late. The oddest ever is that alone sets seed. With us, it has only used seeds after a slug through the bloom is gone. The seeds have sprouted even super, but fresh ausgesäet. Now the big question mark, the seedlings have so far in green and brown tones geblüht...Kein only one seedling had previously been the classic sikokianum flower! The question which arises now is, is sikokianum hybrid origin? Or can this species hybridize easily only easily? Know anyone who has successfully pulled really real sikokianum from seeds so far, all had a large question mark on the forehead after flowering...
Many greetings
Martin

Hi Martin,

These are indeed interesting observations!

Have you asked the Nackschnecke where she pass is crawled?
If sikkokinanum, such as when many Aronstabgewächsen the female flowers are no longer befrüchtungsfähig, if the male distribute pollen, it should be yes no Selfing.

Had the typical morphology of sikkokianum with the like butt because the flowers?

Happy growing, Bernhard.

How do André Loos because his plants?
Know his stand by the stock exchange in Bokrijk, Belgium and he has actually always A. sikokianum on sale (and always in pots).

According to the book by Guy & Liliane Gusman is the way free planted, relatively easy to cultivate. In winter a wetness protection seems important, so the tubers not way bad.

Here an excerpt from the email...
Because it comes as of yet and when losses in the great outdoors, I cultivate the plants in pots. If you prefer the culture in the great outdoors, you should choose a half-shady site is protected especially in the spring from too much water. The tubers should be planted rather deep, at least. 20 to 25cm deep. Only at the supplied size I would advise for the time being to a lower depth. Under the tubers may be to a drainage layer of coarse gravel or brick chippings etc..

The tubers grow every year, a good supply of nutrients is important, so is good to fertilize. With us in the great outdoors, this type is sufficiently Hardy in sufficiently deep planting. Essentially, not the temperatures make the problem, as a rather wet!
I use square plastic container to pot culture 13 cm x 13 cm. I use a traditional high-quality potting soil, which I set to the better ability to pour some sand as substrate. This can be done also with perlite, vermiculite, Seramis etc., but also works without surcharges. Carefully, it should be started with the casting as soon as the new drive reaches the surface of the substrate. First appears the bloom, the sheet, which should be obtained until the autumn green appears at the end of the flowering season. Fertilize again during this time, I use the time fertilization also Osmocote. Especially in the summer to make sure that the pots never completely dry out. This should happen, never by watering try this sheet again to fix: only the tuber is lazy off by too much water! In this case, bring the plant into the dry resting period!
In normal course, the leaf stays green until about September. If it is yellow stain begins (cold nights), stop pouring and bring the tuber / pot, dry and frost-free over winter. In the spring, the plant begins very early shoots, may already be in the January / February. Always check the pots.
