Anchomanes giganteus

Hello together.
For one year, own a Anchomanes giganteus. The hand is just about to confiscate, is however a mandrel-like structure (picture) formed the transition to the bulb at the base of the petiole, so. What is this? Formed here may be a new leaf?Got the plant only after she had driven the now dying leaf.

Hi Sebastian,.

even though I am not familiar with Anchomanes, I can tell you that it is a new drive. This looks exactly as in Amorphophallus, if under the existing sheet formed a new shoot.
