Knollen wie behandeln?

Hello

I have purchased me recently a few tubers. It is A. interruptus bulbifer, A., A. yunnanense, A. elatus, and A. tenuistylis. Should I treat like everyone else also the (small) tubers, so wait until they sprout and then plant, or because there are differences?

The A. elatus looks very worn out/dry, but has a healthy tip. Should I pot which in slightly damp substrate?

Greetings,
Andre

Hello

the species listed by you are all group 1 species. This means that they all are dry to Hibernate.
No matter whether large or small. Storage in the substrate can kill the tubers, if it is too moist.
For me, even a large tuber has begun to gammeln although I have stored them dry and without substrate.

Group should be 1 species at about 15 degrees. Not less, because then one has the "success", as I was at the a corm.
It is the most ideal store so dark at 15 degrees!

I would only Pack the tubers in the substrate when the urge is showing clear signs of sprouting. Not before.
But even then not completely pour. Only when the sheet then unfolds, you can pour used.
Keep carefully damp is ok, but really pouring is not ideal even at the beginning of the growth phase.

I would dry store also the schrumpelige tuber. I have also a schrumpelige. She drives out but just. Looks so worse than it is.

MfG
Stephan

the Excel spreadsheet at the bottom of the page:
Amorphophallus soil/dormancy list / substrate / storage conditions / rest
You know Yes Noster... but you quiet once too much it may indicate...:icon_wink2:

Happy storing, Bernhard.

Hello

so I wait until the urge grows significantly, or I see Würzelspitzen? The schrumpelige A. elatus has already a comparatively large, but soft, shoot. Am I firmly used as a shoot. I would pack now it in easy (!) moist substrate, because it is really dry.

Where we are just; How to multiply the species (breeding arms, - tubers, Blattbulbillen or even just seeds)

I wanted to make from not a new thread, except when this is desired?

Greetings,
Andre

Moin Andre,.

You can make up to thread a new; the best here:
http://www.Amorphophallus-Forum.de/anzuc…hallus-f26/F11/

In the Excel sheet that I mentioned in post # 3, you will find a column "offsets".

If everything in the table is true, I know not...
At kiusianus I thought as making the kind of Brutlkollen.

But perhaps really better in the new thread....

Happy propagating, Bernhard.

Well the current bulb consumed anyway completely in the growth phase of the plant. It then forms a new tuber..

Therefore, it doesn't matter that the tuber is thong.

Mach elatus photos of your time.

On the subject of reproduction:

Roughly said:

Type 1 Amorphophallus species (all which can be stored dry) multiply by breeding arms, tubers and seeds

Type 2 Amorphophallus species (all which are kept permanently wet) reproduce by seeds

You can multiply both types also with invitro culture.

Moin Stephan,

... and the possibility of not a few species, to augment them.... by leaf cuttings
Experiment: Multiplication by leaf cuttings

Happy growing, Bernhard.

P.S.: Bervor now runs Garden everyone in the next BOT and the titanum be the subtle hint that it works at titanum only with very large leaf cuttings, so big that you can... put that in the bag erntet,
Plant culture - 'Recycling' A. scaber
On page 3, you can see the getopftenStecklinge of Rene...

And at all you should cut off nothing gardens in BOT...

P.P.S.: Questions will help more...:icon_wink2:
