Hi Sebastian,.

What is the exact "set up"?
More precisely: The pot is simply on the heating pad or is box / a terrarium and the pot with the plant then it may be in one in a (Styropor)?
The temperature is regulated or heats the mat permanently?
The mat is how big and how many Watts does it?

Perhaps you can that once more accurately describe and a picture of the construction set - is safe for all interesting...

Happy growing,
Bernhard.

Have to stand the pot directly on the heat mat. It has the mass of 20 born 30, has 25 Watts and runs permanently.
So, the temperature in the root zone is between 25 and 26 ° C.

Moin Sebastian,

Thank you for the Info! So the simplest setup...:icon_wink2:

Not just little; is 25 W I would have thought that these mats with less power come out.
Alternatively, as indicated above, I would have thought on a building where the heat somehow is kept in the pot (box or similar), so that no losses occur in addition to the pot.
You could also remember to place the mat on a plate under a moist substrate support to increase the humidity around the plant around.
Yes love, it is pointed out that titanum a high relative humidity needs what I actually still doubt the bawdy hand of titanum. Your plant grows so well, yes indicates that it also goes with lower relative humidity and confirmed many reports titanum is cultured in the House.

Further growing happy,.
Bernhard.

Hello

so I think the A.titanum is because quite flexible. What do not like it, is direct summer sun, desert dry humidity and that the medium dry out.

Hab in my titanum also never seen, that they get because of low humidity, dry tips. In other species, such as A.hirsutus, this goes very quickly.

In the wild, you can see A.titanum in the deepest jungle, but also amidst the civilization in full sun. Have seen already images, where a Titanum located in a village next to a road is flourishing.

Should also on it, that decrease the temperatures not below 20 degrees.

I would use blankets in the winter so that you must heat the room not on 23-25 degrees.
Because you can take the simple mats from the PetShop. To regulate the mats goes it at the hardware store and buys a cord dimmer.

It may be that the mat then hums in the dimmed state, but that does not harm the mat and the function is not impaired.

Alternatively, you can use following heating pad with stock thermostat:

Biogreen heating pad

I have to say my 3 titanum in a normal room and the like it as well. Due to the many plants I have 72% humidity in the room:icon_confusednew: :D :D

Hi
I think my A.titanum in Zimmertemperaturen from 22-25 ° in the winter over the heater is it ja eh something warmer and there are also warm feet. The pots are however available on styrofoam because I Cook does not want even the heat-loving Titanum! I have not used since then heat records. Vllt. the speeding tickets with 2 are not quite as large as at an optimum level, 5-4cm, but at least they are healthy and stature. still, the Lütten on the windowsill fit.. .and!:icon_smilenew:

Moin.
After a year and 3 months, my small Titanum is indented the first time. Was so excited and had to dig out the bulb first. You now weighs 152 grams. How is it classified? Could her give maybe some tips me as I proceed further with the tuber? Just leave it in the pot and occasionally light pour?

That sounds really good . Mine, incidentally also is collected by Grzegorz to 8 Monatebn and two leaves. The tuber weighs only 8 Gramm.

54

Freitag, 21. Juni 2013, 21:13

How treat you because your bulb after the blade is fed?

55

Freitag, 21. Juni 2013, 21:38

From seed directly to 152 grams :icon_eek: Holy Sch... This is definitely a forum record. I have not nearly so far succeeded.

If you have never had a kind, it overwinters in the substrate, then I wouldn't quite strong Sphagnum moss at the heart place. Just such pressed stuff out of the Bay. This one gives way easily, there wring so that it still crush when you press it, it runs but no water out more. So that it is still nicely moist. Then it makes it into a container, does the clean bulb on it, covers then with MOSS still this, and makes it the lid:D

So nothing dries out. 1 x a week to make and control. I use for my small tubers crickets boxes or similar. I had always nearly 90% loss in soil, because everything is angegammelt. I have since then no loss in MOSS. Sphagnum has an antibacterial effect Moss. Since nothing away when one has not had wet it.

Mhh not necessarily. It even tubers rotted me. I would advise you to the MOSS. I keep all my species is that man not dry can overwinter. Even bulbs with damage not lazy because IM Moos

Thanks for the tip, Stephan. What you get for it? I find pressed, which must be made wet or living in the Bay.

59

Samstag, 22. Juni 2013, 19:39

Exactly. The pressed.

I have here

Let just swell. The smell then really fresh. As a pond or similar. What is left, simply type in an open bucket or open tray and allow to dry. You can wet it Yes again and again.

Advantage of the 100 gram bar is that it is not the same as a large amount.

A gigas x decus-silvae, which has a large cut is not time away at me. MOSS may be pretty quiet wet. As far as expressing that no inner Hall to more water comes out. It should still decompose if it puts it together. It is so wet like a wet rag. Give the foam in the container and cover the tuber as beautiful with on the tuber press gently, but do not overtighten. It should be even much air to the tuber.

That's enough. You can do it quietly in a closed container. Then holds the moisture. I've been using cans with holes and also without holes. Doing both well. Since I use this stuff, I have no failure more during storage. Regular air is beneficial. As you can well control also the humidity of MOSS and the condition of the tuber.

But only for types of use, which you must keep moist. Types, such as bulbifer, konjac and co, which is not good.
