I hope I am here in the right Department with my question. have an offer from a large Amorphophallus titanum tuber to 27 euro incl. shipping on ebay. This is a good price?

for garden and home
Dimensions:
approx. 13.5 cm size
strong, robust and healthy (in the summer is the plant in the wild)

know about me though with Titanum not so but the price seems so favorable that it probably titanum is not A.. Or is already considered mass? ;-). Titanwurz is called at least as very good, what ebayler want to sell dear.
Well, if there already is: "for garden and home" - I would be very skeptical...
Before here are one of the Titanum experts logs, titanum look doch mal in the A., since such offers were often discussed (such as "titanum bulb or what?"). Perhaps can you link here also the offer? Photo would be the best course.

Oh, I just noticed, the 13.5 cm are the extent not diameter. So sounds diameter 4,3 cm. already somewhat more realistic...
A. titanum makes unfortunately no primary Cormels breed goes because only by seed (if you provided one.) (Garden has;-)), in vitro culture or leaf cuttings.

The seller has sold already other varieties of Amorphophallus. A real likely actually. Hmm. would so a good price, or? Am soo excited, got the konjac since 2000 and white only since the me the great is received, that there are ways to a pile. I already terribly pleased if a Titanum.

I am on the Ectheit by A. titanum as somewhat skeptical.
Not what the scope or relates to the diameter.
The seller writes that he the plant out there are in the summer has.
Now thats beiA: titanum nahezuunmöglich to cultivate this kind out there.
Even A. hewittii it withstand barely outside in the summer.
In addition, he says that it is not sensitive greenhouse products. A culture of A: titanum without greenhouse is probably bad possible in winter.
I would simply ask in your place after a picture of the plant leaf.

the seller has offered to paeonifolius some time ago with the image of a prainii flower.
I've pointed him and now he sells prainii with the image of a prainii flower.
With regard to the assessment of titanum bulb, has listed all the very weighty arguments Stefan.
On a photo of the hand, one could identify titanum may because the leaf is quite "derb", "leathery" and has a typical shine. However, one could confuse it with coaetaneus.
A photo of the petiole, which shows the typical bright titanum stains from a certain size would be better. If the photo is from a 4.3 cm tuber, the typical stains ought to see.

I think you have me convinced that it is rather not Titanum. Moreover writes also the seller to my question, he was so honest and can say it not quite sure - it is likely at 95% one. He has no image with leaf, currently rests the tuber.

He has auctioned off the bulb (or another with same size) on ebay to scarce 53,-euro and is now offering to 27,-including shipping it you??? So if there not what is lazy.

...ICH got at the crazy Poland both a Titanum tuber as a seed also bought. Bottom line: Good packed quickly and cost-effectively. Both seed and bulb, have arrived already driven for me! So really to recommend. However, I would now abandon the purchase of a bulb. first of all. Nematodes and secondly for reasons of environmental protection, because dredge of titanium sausages probably now takes in Sumatra Ãœberhand and threatened the way...
So: buy better seeds, from the outset sterile work and in ten years on the flower contact...

I don't think that he excavates the relatively small tubers on Sumatra, but rather attracts from seed itself.

I bought my Titanums in September. The seed is sprouted ã º nd the plant thrives. The tuber is unfortunately received, because my girlfriend has aired and too much got off train (the plant, not the girlfriend...).
