Hello of Andreas,
a new bulb each under a sheet form and the old tuber usually completely or in part "is offset", your konjac has it right.
When young Amorphophallus more often one at a time several leaves grow from the active (growing) main bud, but it is only a new larger tuber formed under this active bud.
In your case, two buds are actively driven to an already large tuber, and under the two leaves which stem from two leaf buds, then new tubers have formed, with the old completely or as far as was offset, that it has announced.
A good example is the titanum in Bonn, which has driven three flower buds from a weighing 117 kg bulb and from which after flowering then three leaf buds are driven out. Under the leaves a new tubers were formed then, with "used" the old Kolle for the formation of three new.
The three new tubers did Interestingly again about the weight of the mother tuber on the scales with 70, 31 and 18 kg in total.
