Hi,.
have seen that also recently. But as I have with titanum is not as great experience, I had thought me nothing further. If it is titanum, then the price is a bargain for such a Fireworks really!

However I have been on eBay again and the same type has again a so great "titanum" on offer: 110248560362

In light of this, I am now somewhat skeptical diesbzgl.

Hello Franco,.

This is never a titanum; titanum drives off with so a red bud.
It fits more to paeonifolius....

MfG,
Bernhard,

I have written to the provider and pointed out that the offered tuber is hardly a titanum,
Here the answer:

Hello Mr. Stalder,

Thanks for the note, it is however so that the tuber of a traditional establishment in Germany was involved. Was I offered as titanum and I assume from that that is so fine. In the event of a case, if so, the expulsion is not expected, I am but basically interested in finding a fair solution. It is itself 100% possible to safely assess me a dormant tuber. Because but said it's as one of century-old Gartenbaubetrieb as source I assume the accuracy, the bud will then show it.

Many regards,
Uwe (plate-runner)

Greeting René

Hello Amorphophile,

of the aroid L following comments were on offer:

1. "here is what a titanum should look like." <!-m--> < a class href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ="post link"?"ViewItem & item = 220231249571 & p4340 = p3907. m32 & _trksid=p3907.M32 = tab % 3DSelling" >http://CGI.eBay.com/WS/eBayISAPI.dll?VI ... %3DSelling < /a > <!-m->
This one looks to me a lot like a konjac. "At first I thought it might have been a paeoniifolius or koratensis but it isnt bumpy enough in my opinion"

2. "i have traded large number of Titanum tubers and large number of other species of Amorphophallus tubers." The picture looks just like the Paonofolius tubers I have on my bookshelf waiting to be planted down to the motling of the skin surface. "I would hope a healthy Titanum tuber would be kept slightly moist not bone dry and have lots of roots."

I have also written the provider:

"Hello plate-runner"

without wanting to see evil you, I would like to
You to kindly draw attention that offered by you
Tuber with very high probability none titanum, but a different
It is. I'm assuming that you have purchased the tubers as titanum,
However a titanum bulb doesn't look, such as those of you
offered. The fabric is rather light brown during real storage
and similar to looks like that of sugar beet. A further indication,.
the small Bud; is that it is not titanum, titanum is always with
a green, pointed bud the small red/pink bud on your image
speaks rather for A. paeonifolius or possibly A. koratensis.
Yet another reminder could be if you received the tuber in slightly moist substrate
have. A. titanum must during the rest period in slightly moist substrate
be stored, otherwise the tuber schrumpelt an easy and is permanently
damaged.
The tuber on your image looks more like a way
that is completely dry stored and also has to be stored. If you
such species in moist substrate outsources, it rotten easily.
Finally you can finally see probably on the sheet foliation,
whether or not, the way is titanum da titanum a very typical drawing on the petiole
has and also the green of titanum is quite well.
Also, is the leaf of a typical glow and feels quite "leathery".
You will find some pictures of titanum
here:
http://www.aroid.org/Gallery/strolka/index.html

I hope that you have paid too much for your tubers. Unfortunately, it is repeatedly found that any tubers unknowingly or unfortunately sometimes
also deliberately sold as titanum.

With friendly
Regards,
Bernhard Strolka.

Here the answer:
"Hello gartenbauer"

Thank you for the hint at closer
Look, it seems indeed that the tuber is not titanum
is and has been swapped. Unfortunately, the offer is no longer
complement or prematurely terminate as less than 12 hours until the end
There are.
I'll but then the highest bidder to point out that
the tuber is no longer available.

Many regards,
"plate-runner"
