Re: A. impressus

Hi Kevin
I have also an A. impressus at the start, at least according to Ebay-provider.
Eingetopft since early June, a mini speeding tickets, drove a 15 cm stem not perfect trained sheet and ailing at the moment clearly, the leaf loses her Green, entire culture under HQI/HQL light from the peaks,
all the time on average in 19-22°C in room display case, and am now looking forward to the current bulb!

Re: A. impressus

Hello

my A. impressus is just in the first season with me behind. The bulb until to the bud dry store culture with me in Earth perlite mixture. Stood on the balcony over the summer and has now again taken (probably due to the Kälteeinbruchs). Temperature in this changeable summer everything between 32° full sunny (only morning) and 15°C at night. From a mini breeding Knöllchen was a tuber with 2.5 cm in diameter and 2 primary Cormels. To the flowering size she needs but still a short time.

LG,
Martina

Re: A. impressus

... my A. impressus is currently in the pot on the Bookshelf because it's above just warmer;
Inner duuurchlässigen Earth with much perlite/Styrochips share and when dry, there's some spray water on top...

Hello
I had this summer a little A. impressus (an arm of the brood). I just got her after she started to move, so she can not freeze and the soil dries out. Now, I wanted to dig up the bulb, but have found that it pushes a very small Blade (smaller than the original). This is infested with aphids. I'm guessing she pushes the blade because it is warmer inside.

What am I supposed to do? Through cultivating? Cut the sheet? I will not interfere with the tuber, as it is probably very small.

Many greetings,
Jakob

Hello

@ Jakob: should the new blade out cope sideways, so it comes out a daughter bulb or breeding arm. In the case I would radically solve the aphid problem and remove the blade. As a result you ibal also the main tuber; Winter rest already requires the sort and dry then like she's as Africans. If you by kultivierst got to you with pour the rest while the rest also... dangerous.

@ Kevin: Impressus grows very well, is very irregular tubers with high proportion of breeding arms with me. Here the development of me since 2013:

3 g, 7 g, 67 g, 123 g. Each with poor breeding. This year the tuber has divided; the 123 g consist of two tubers 49 g and 55 g with little trinkets.

Is available in loose soil and perlite Seramis mixture and is very moist kept growing, indoor directly on the window, since it has 40 ° C for a short time even +, in the rest period at approx. 22 ° C, dry as a bone.

Love greetings
Michael

Hello
I've dug out the tuber, the tide seems to be coming from the main tuber. Should I cut the sheet anyway?

Many greetings,
Jakob

Let it continue to grow – it is normal way eh not long before this then pulls out a.
In the normal case the plants always grow - we - and not the plants are the only ones who make mistakes ;-)

Hey, I have two questions regarding Amorphophallus Impressus:

Last year I bought a small A. impressus from Lord Maso, which has developed very splendidly. (from 32g to 364g including brood tubers or 347g excluding brood tubers)

1.) Is such a strong increase common in this species?

2.) From what weight/size can you expect an inflorescence?

Thank you and best regards,

Jacob

P.s: On the photo you can see the mother tuber (Photo 27.01.2023/ Current weight: 288g)

Hi Jacob,

I have no experience with the species, but from only 32 to 347 g is amazing.
Whether it is flowering in size, I unfortunately do not know...

Happy growing/blooming,
Bernhard.
