Blute Typhonium venosum

Hello

How can I slow down flowering?
Would it help if I put that in a basement at about 8 a 10 degree?

Yes, that would definitely help. Last year I have all Typhonium in the basement of cold winters, and the t. venosum only in may flourished. Also this year again are the venosum tubers in the basement and show still no sign of life.

Hello

natülich. They get a new sheet already while they flower.
After the end it takes then about 1 to 2 weeks to the new paper is unfolded.
This time is also sufficient so that the plant is growing well.

I had planted last year a few primary Cormels, that have only been in the summer, but they have grown quite well.

With kind regards
Stefan

No, at Typhonium, which is slightly different. The loose another 5 leaves have managed after flowering in may, that is why I like them also so happy;-)

Is of course very good fertilization, and a protected sunny place can be also a good idea.

Hello

mine had gotten so far 3 huge leaves.

I they are relatively sunny.

The Earth is very nutrients and the pot size.

So, from the outset 3 leaves per plant came with me.

With kind regards
Stefan

Since there's no trick, just large pots, good substrate and viiiieeel fertilizer use (spring N stressed, autumn PK underlined). A warm and bright site can be of course also not wrong.

Are your in the garden, or? It is often underestimated how little nutrients has a normal garden plant when compared to a well-fertilized potted plant available.

But just take a try. A bulb gets a big pot, and the others come as usual in the garden. If that is fertilized in the pot once a week (in summer with up to 0.3%), this plant will be also continuously new leaves, I am sure.

Hello

So far, I have always my Typhonum venomsum tubers out there in the garden in bloom.

I see here in the Forum that some of the tubers in bloom in March on a window sill in the good can be. Has a deeper reason, or this is done only because the fun makes or because the winter quarters is not good enough, or something similar?

Can you give perhaps out there a longer growing season the leaf on the way in the garden
to get a larger bulb thus in the fall? Anyway Yes the phase with the flower is up to the first sheet lasts at least four weeks.

Has anyone tried this, do you tell a difference?

Greeting Olvi
